Which Bond actor do you think had the best final outing?
1) Dalton: Licence To Kill is a distinctive outing. Tim, like George, was cut off in his prime.
2) Connery: Which film is regarded as Connery's final Bond performance? I suppose we should say Diamonds Are Forever. It was a ok film, but not as good as Licence To Kill.
3) Moore: A View To A Kill is a fun film, but maybe Roger needed something a bit grander like Octopussy or a Moonraker to bow out with. I still prefer it to Diamonds Are Forever, although Sean still had some more Bond in him - and went on to make a rebel Bond film!
Lazenby/Craig. We can't really include these two as George only made one and Craig, luckily for alvin, will probably be back. If George was to be included, then OHMSS would be no.1 in my list of best final Bond films for an actor.

Licence To Kill is probably the best overall film, even though I probably end up watching A View To A Kill more.
I also think Brosnan left the series on a high note with Die Another Day, even if the actual film wasn't that good. But he clearly still enjoyed being in the role, and still appeared to have plenty of mileage left in him.

I would put it equal 3rd in my list.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Timothy Dalton: he was cut off in his prime unfortunately.

It should have been a 2004 Pierce Brosnan Bond movie.

It should have been a 2004 Pierce Brosnan Bond movie. Better 2004 than 2005. Not because Pierce is too old in 2005. He was young enough do another Bond in 2006/2007. The main reason is that there's a lot of competition in 2005's holiday season with movies like Potter 4, King Kong, and Narnia 1.

Hi, Actually...Roger Moore was 57 - 58 years old when he did "A View To A Kill" in 1985. Pierce just turned a youthful 58 in May. It's just my opinion - but I think he's STILL young enough! Take Care (and glad to be back on the Forum with my mates!)

That's a good point about Sir Rog being the same age Brosnan is now in AVTAK. I thought he looked better in that film than he did in Octopussy.

How old was Brosnan when they gave him the boot? 49?

Timothy Dalton's Bond was cut short too early.

It's an outrage Craig has made more than Dalton.
