True. But, Craig playing a Sir Roger style Bond would be like Steven Seagal appearing in a Harold Pinter play. Seagal has never done any comedy ever since he started acting in the 80s. Has he done any Pinter? What's that? Fried bread? Yes it is? I'm going to check on my peas.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Nice to see Steven Seagal and Harold Pinter get a mention in the same thread. I know Harold was a huge Seagal fan and greatly influenced by his films.

Speaking of Seagal, has anyone seen this?

I know Harold was a huge Seagal fan and greatly influenced by his films. You're joking, right? Yes, I was jesting. The worlds of Pinter and Seagal have never collided although I think Steven was once offered a small part in a production of The Birthday Party to be staged in the South Atlantic. That place where they stuck Napoleon I think.

Seagal is quite funny in his action films especially some of his mid career ones such as the Glimmer Man and Under Siege. On Deadly Ground is hilarious, although it is supposed to be more serious!

The funny thing is that Seagal kept on playing the same character in all of his movies. Plus, his movies are direct-to-video these days.

Daniel Craig had the opportunity to show some humour in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. The jury is out on whether he had any aptitude for it.

No. Daniel Craig cannot handle the gags.

No. Daniel Craig cannot handle the gags. Welcome Fakir! Moneypenny may be back so that may point to a lighter Bond.
