Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I thought I would start this thread because I think it would be fun to joke about Steven Seagal and his cheesy films where he plays the same role all over again. If anyone has any news, fan arts, or anything Seagal, let's hear them now. And let the fun begin!

I think he has made some great action films to rival some of the best. As a tribute here is the trailer from Marked for Death.

Seagal's early films (from Warner Bros.) are much better.

Seagal's early films (from Warner Bros.) are much better. Action films were better then. I watched Mercenary for Justice recently (from 2006). It was fun to watch but a bit cheap. Seagal was also in my area recently on tour with his band. I did not go.

Pretty much all of those DTV films are nothing more than a paycheck for Seagal and an easy buck for the studios. They only hire him to work for about two weeks, which is why voice dubbing and body doubles are so prominent in those films. (Seagal doesn't bother to do any ADR work during post.)

The opening of Mercenary for Justice included a firefight with some hand held shaky cams that reminded me of the $400 million QOS!

I think Attack Force was supposed to be a movie about aliens, but somewhere along the way, the producers decided to cut all of that out. So what you basically had left was a movie that was fundamentally broken- even for a DTV release. I hear it's Seagal's absolute worst film.

I looked up Attack Force on Wikipedia and it said it's a film that even diehard Seagal fans dislike. I'll give that one a miss!

www.showbizspy.com/article/213772/shia-labeouf-wanted-a-ponytail-like-steven-seagal.htmlSHIA LABEOUF WANTED A PONYTAIL LIKE STEVEN SEAGAL
Friday September 24, 2010
SHIA LaBeouf wanted a Steven Seagal-style ponytail when he was a boy.
The actor — who stars alongside Michael Douglas and girlfriend Carey Mulligan in upcoming movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps — said the action hero was his idol growing up and that he wanted to grow his hair to look like him.
“Seagal was big for me,” Shia said. “He had, like, three years where he was untouchable… His ponytail was the whole thing for me.
“I was a 12-year-old Jew. Looking at that ponytail, you wanted one.
“But if I’d have grown it out it would have been like a Brillo pad. It would just have been, like, two Afros.”
Shia recently admitted his mother tells him off for not separating his trash for recycling.
“I’m gonna be honest with you, I’m not environmentally friendly,” he confessed.
“I drive a truck, I’m a loser that way. I’ll figure it out eventually but I’m not the greatest guy…
“I’m horrible, horrible, horrible. My mom hates me for it. Sometimes I put the can in the right bin, sometimes I don’t. I have to be better about it, I know, and I’m sorry world.”This is interesting.

I was reading an old Empire magazine from 2004 today. It had an item on movies in development and mentioned a comedy vehicle for Steven Seagal.
It also said Dirty Harry was going to be remade with The Rock as Harry Callahan: I like The Rock but do not think he would make a good Dirty Harry.
