Did anyone else in the UK notice the earthquake! The room I was in and myself shook. My girlfriend woke me up and I just caught the end of it. Bizarrely enough, I just turned to her, said it was ONLY an earthquake and went back to sleep. I was fast asleep sadly around 1am. I've never experienced an Earthquake before although it was only a very minor one compared to places like Japan.

I was having a go on the computer at the time and suddenly starting shaking. I thought I had some illness. But then I remembered that there have been some earthquakes in the UK over the last few years, so I put the radio on and people were phoning in talking about it

You hear stories about people suddenly dropping glasses or shaking, and being diagnosed with Parkinsons or other illnesses. No disrespect to anyone with those illnesses or who have friends/relatives with them, but when you suddenly shake, you do feel something is wrong. But it was an earthquake!

That Clinton-Obama contest is getting a bit bitter; it's almost as bad as the pro/anti-Craig struggles of the last few years.

Not being American, it's been interesting to watch this from the outside. Obama reminds me of a young Tony Blair - a good speaker but a bit vague on policy. The Clintons are a formidable political machine. John Mcain seems like a decent man but I don't know much about his politics. I think his main challenge if he becomes President will be to fit that job in around his frozen oven chips business. ;D

Does anyone watch the West Wing?

I watched random episodes, including some of the last ones when Alan Alda was runnning for President!
I used to be able to receive more4 on Freeview (UK digital television) but they changed the frequencies so I can't receive more4 and have not watched the West Wing for a while.

My perfect night in would include a time- travelling Raquel Welch and a bucket of custard. CGI is a bit annoying but it has allowed certain films to be made and is good for TV -i.e in things like the newer Star Trek series. I've started watching the first season and so far so good.

Box sets are the best way to watch these programmes. Costs money though! Isn't it supposed to a bit unrealistic as the White House is very liberal and ethical!

I finally watched the third installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean and I just wish I could get those 2 + hours back. What a truly abysmal film.

The first one wasn't that great. I'm suprised they span it out into a trilogy.
