I wish this film would just come and go and then finally we might get a new actor. I don't think it's good for the series to have one actor in the part for so long with such large gaps between his films.

This is depressing but predictable. Eon haven't got the energy or savvy to launch a new Bond era so they are just treading water by wheeling Craig out again. The worrying thing is that Craig (despite anything he might say) knows he is a complete nobody without Bond and will cling on for as many paydays as they throw at him and Barbara will happily let him continue forever. It doesn't make any sense. Are they going to revisit the Blofeld fiasco or brush it under the carpet?

Looking at those pictures I don't get why James Norton is in the running. Turner would be much better.

Daniel Craig seems to be saying he's coming back in the New York interview. They fired Brosnan for being 49 but Daniel Craig is allowed to play Bond forever.

www.dailystar.co.uk/movies/468986/Daniel-Craig-would-rather-slash-wrists-James-BondBacklash as Daniel Craig says he'd 'rather slash his wrists' than play Bond againDANIEL Craig has sparked controversy by claiming he would rather "slash his wrists" than play James Bond again. The actor is currently promoting the eagerly anticipated Spectre, but has made it clear that this will be his last Bond film. In a shocking interview, Daniel joked that he would rather kill himself than step into 007's suit one more time. When asked by Time Out if he could imagine doing another instalment, the 47-year-old said: "Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. "No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on." There was understandably a bit of backlash against the suicide joke on social media, particularly ahead of this Saturday's World Mental Health Day. One reader cited the Mental Health Day and tweeted: "And Daniel Craig says he would rather 'slash his own wrists' than play Bond again, helpful stuff." Another called the response "unnecessary", while a Twitter user wrote: "Insensitive much?" Elsewhere in the expletive-laden chat, Daniel, who has taken the lead role in Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace and Skyfall, said that he couldn't "give a f***" who plays Bond next.

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/11520505/James-Bond-why-doctors-say-he-should-be-dead.htmlJames Bond has cheated death for more than 50 years but doctors say Skyfall should have killed him off in seven minutesAs the world’s suavest secret agent, James Bond has survived 23 films while barely breaking a sweat. Witness Skyfall, the most recent 007 outing, in which Daniel Craig’s only concern after jumping from a digger on to a moving train was to readjust his shirt cuffs. If Bond’s adventures were true to life, however, he would have lasted seven minutes into that film before meeting his death. A panel of medical professionals has concluded, unsurprisingly, that action films are not very true to life. In the case of Skyfall, the moment Bond is shot with a depleted uranium shell seven minutes in “would have turned his lungs inside out and killed him”. Even if he had survived that, the uranium shell fragments “would greatly increase his cancer risk”. And the rest of the film does not treat him kindly. Removing a bullet from his shoulder in a spot of DIY surgery “risks blood loss, lack of consciousness, nerve and muscle damage and the infection risk is huge”. Falling from the roof of a train into a river, one of the film’s great setpieces, “could sever his spinal cord or break his neck”, not to mention the dangers of drowning. Grenade explosions at the climax of the film would leave Bond with perforated eardrums. As for a scene at the end in which Bond wrestles a henchman underwater in an icy Scottish loch, the chances of him surviving that would be pretty low: “Fighting means he would use oxygen quickly so it’s improbable he’d get out in time. Hypothermia would set in very quickly and he’d struggle to move.” Skyfall Injuries
7 mins: Bond is shot in the chest. 12 mins: Bond is shot, falls off a train roof and lands in a river 80m below. 31 mins: Bond removes a bullet from his shoulder. 1hr 54mins: There’s gunfire and grenades at his Skyfall estate. 2hrs 2mins: Bond sinks into icy water. Length of film: 2hrs 23 mins Time of death: 7 mins

www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/spectre-daniel-craig-flown-3000-5462062Spectre: Daniel Craig flown 3,000 miles from James Bond set for surgery on serious knee injuryBond star Daniel Craig was flown 3,000 miles from the set of his latest movie for surgery on a serious knee injury. The 47-year-old actor was crocked while filming action scenes for Spectre high in the Austrian Alps. He made the injury worse during a fight scene days later at Pinewood Studios near London. Craig then moved on to shoot scenes in Mexico but decided the knee would have to receive treatment. He was flown from Mexico City to New York so medics could carry out a procedure on his leg. The star missed several days of work on the most expensive spy film ever – reported to have a budget exceeding £200million. Director Sam Mendes now faces a race against time to finish the film in time for its October release date. Craig’s operation was carried out last week by specialist medics in New York, where he lives with his wife Rachel Weisz, 45, in a penthouse in Manhattan’s East Village. He was seen on Monday morning with a weekend bag, apparently leaving for the clinic where he was due to have surgery. Wearing jeans, a bomber jacket and flat cap, the actor was whisked away in a blacked-out Range Rover through busy morning traffic. While he recovers, studio filming and location shots in Mexico City in which he is not involved in are believed to have been brought forward. Stunt doubles were used to shoot fight scenes in Mexico City, where they are working on the film’s show-stopping opening sequence. A source said: “Craig has been struggling with his knee since he first hurt it in the Alps in January. "His body has taken a hell of a battering while filming Bond, because he really throws himself wholeheartedly into a very demanding part. “He took the opportunity to have this surgery done while there was a chance to film scenes in which he was not needed. “He expects to be back to meet his schedule and we are confident he will be fully fit again and there will be no delays.”

First teaser trailer for Spectre will be out later on. Knowing Sam Mendes it will be gloomy and pretentious.

I like the way Rog's left hand is free in case he has to suddenly karate chop someone.
