Well, over here Craig hysteria has reached epic proportions. The Prime Minister has just announced that in Trafalgar Square they've decided to tear down Nelson's Column and replace it with a mile high statue of Daniel Craig. Hilarious. I was having a bad day at work yesterday but this post made me feel better. Thanks.

I know my way of expressing things can be corny. But Daniel Craig is the greatest living actor in my book, and the Bond series is just so overwhelming with him in it.

I know my way of expressing things can be corny. But Daniel Craig is the greatest living actor in my book, and the Bond series is just so overwhelming with him in it. What are your favourite DC films outside of Bond alvin? Munich is a masterpiece, and Daniel Craig gave an incredible performance. The thing that really gets me about Munich is that it's a Spielberg film with Daniel Craig in it. I recently saw one of those behind-the-scenes photos of Munich and it featured Spielberg and Daniel Craig talking on the set. Tears welled in my eyes because the photo captured an incredible moment of two giants in the movie history. Recently, I saw Daniel Craig in Invasion and The Golden Compass on cable TV. I thought those films were truly showcasing his awesome presence. Has it occurred to anyone that those films didn't do well in the box office because there were not enough scenes with Daniel and people were cheated of not seeing him throughout those films? That's probably why they stayed away from those films because they were disappointed in the lack of Daniel's presence. I can tell you that his box office charm is felt all the way in remote places like Slovakia. I have a friend that is in the peace corp in Slovakia and in the town he was visiting, there was a theater that was playing The Golden Compass. He said that there were about half a dozen people in the theater, which is awesome proof that even in Slovakia Daniel is well known! I also thought Daniel was brilliant in Layer Cake and Enduring Love. Barbara Broccoli probably saw those films and realized that he was Bond. Look at how he holds a gun in Layer Cake, he captures the style of Sean Connery! And then he got beat up a lot in that film, which paves the way for the new Bond in the reboot. Craig's Bond is arty because he can show a soft side like going through a beating where he isn't always the winner and he can even wear light-blue trunks and not be ashamed. In Enduring Love, he takes all that one step further and plays a professor who is a victim of a stalker. One technique of Daniel is that he doesn't always cater to mainstream attention in America. He can play off the international appeal of these quiet films. My Uncle and Aunt were vacationing in Tunesia and they saw some DVDs in a bazaar. They noticed that one film in a bin of DVDs was Enduring Love! The guy that ran the stall told my Uncle that he only stocked popular DVDs. So you see, Daniel has an incredible international appeal, the true mark of a great actor.

Tomb Raider! It has incredible action set pieces and special effects. You can't get a better adaptation of a video game than Tomb Raider and you got to hand it to Daniel Craig for having a versatile repertoire. Director SImon West really got a good performance from Daniel, notice how Daniel was able to show balance by not having his powerful screen presence overshadow Angelina Jolie. He just let her have the space since she's playing the main role and all those character points of father-daughter relations was emotionally moving. I didn't see it in the theater but when I saw Tomb Raider on DVD I realized that probably a lot of people in the theater had trouble holding back tears in those quiet moments. But most of all this is really a film that delivers action and special effects. I should watch this on Blu-ray for maximum picture quality and maybe I'll find more nuances in the performances of Anglina Jolie and Daniel Craig.

No one asked me but personally I thought it could have been better. ;D

What did you think of Daniel's US accent Alvin? To be honest, I didn't notice Daniel Craig was playing an American character in Tomb Raider. Last night I asked some buddies about this. These are the guys that I watched it with. We watched Tomb Raider in the basement of my best friend Ron. Ron remembered that Daniel had an American accent and we were blown away. That's when we realized that this great British actor was playing an American! It's sort of like he was representing us in this film. We were in awe of him. I know this is going to sound corny but we felt proud so we started high-fiving each other.

In all honesty I think Tomb Raider is a borderline camp cult classic.

Hello all hergersheimer here. Longtime Bond fan. Been reading these boards for a day or two and decided it might be fun to join up. Noticed that there doesn't appear to be alot of love for Daniel Craig. Hope you don't mind, but I actually like all the Bonds. They're all entertaining in my opinion. I look forward to discussing all things Bond with you.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Hi everyone, Jet Set Sweeney here, for those who know me. Shrug. One person won't like that etc etc etc. Welcome to the forum. It's a very laid back place, although there are some rather big Craig critics here.
