Thank you all for the nice welcome Here are for few pics of JH looking very JB. Welcome Aboard, tn300! In this photo, Jon Hamm looks eerily similar to the James Bond of the old comic strips! He looks suave, debonair and a little on the dangerous side as well...also, it almost looks like he's got a bit of a scar over the right eye (Bond in the books), with a hint of the 'cruel mouth' that Fleming describes. As far as a British accent...let's not forget George Lazenby's Australian accent was initially so thick, Harry Saltman was worried nobody would be able to understand him, however with some good voice coaching he sounded fantastic! JH would be somebody I truly hope EON screen tests when the time comes! Take Care!

There was an article about Dougray Scott today. He said he was approached by Bond producers in the late 90's but never offered the part. Probably because Brosnan signed up for a forth.
He's six feet so would have been the shortest Bond, but still 2-3 inches taller than DC. Scott is 43 now, so his chance has gone. Pity.

He is only 3 years older than Daniel Craig, so could have played the young Bond in Casino Royale. Lots of potential Bond candidates were ignored in 2006.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I liked Scott's strong Scottish accent, much more distinctive than DC's monotone voice. He really gave Cruise a run for his money in MI2, then played it a lot more sensitive when he starred alongside Kate Winslett.
His career has'nt really progressed that much over the last ten years & he has recently had a bit part in 'Desperate Housewifes'.

I think in one film Scott got off with Kathy Burke. So would have found it hard to live that down if he had become Bond. Mind you did'nt DC get off with a grannie in 'The Mother' ?

I think Scott said he spoke to Eon about doing Bond in 2002/2003 or something. When Casino Royale was announced Scott was an early favourite.

I still prefer this man as an ideal choice for the 7th Bond.

Henry Cavill should be the next Bond. Before this can ever happen, the event of this man below becoming Bond must come to pass.

I think I'll stick with Henry too as my current choice for James Bond#7.
