I don't think Michael Fassbender is handsome enough to be Bond from what I've seen of him. That would be two unconventional Bonds in a row.

I'd rather see some plausible candidates over wrestling idiots. Anyone like Michael Fassbender as a Bond? Or Sam Worthington? I'd never accept an American as Bond. The day that happens, Bond is finished. An American actor could do an accent. Lots of US actors do convincing English accents - although many actors are awful at accents.

I can't believe there's already all this talk about a 7th actor for Bond. Rumors like that Gerard Butler one are sort of making me uncomfortable. I hope Eon will clamp down on these rumors. They ought to issue a statement asking everyone to give Daniel Craig a chance. He's only done two Bond films, he's revolutionized the franchise, so things are just starting to roll.

Who would you like to see take over from Daniel Craig alvin? Remember, cloning technology is not available at present. Hi, This is a really tough question. You know, I'll admit I've started to think about it since I read that Gerard Butler rumor. All this talk about Daniel Craig being replaced is starting to worry me. Who ever takes over will have to carry on Daniel's legacy. He revolutionized the franchise, captured the spirit of the modern progressive man. So Eon will need to get an actor that can do all that. There's one actor who sort of has the Daniel presence, and that's a guy called Kevin McKidd. He's Scottish but he's on Grey's Anatomy and I think he plays an American character. Not really a fan of that series, so I've only seen a couple of episodes. When I saw him, I thought he had the look of Daniel Craig. He can also look bad-ass like Daniel (especially at the end of CR when Daniel said "Bond, James Bond"). In this photo, I can see some of that attitude: The problem though is I don't know if Kevin McKidd can capture that soft emotional side that Daniel has so brilliantly captured. For example, I don't know if this guy can look convincing if he took on that metrosexual style that Barbara and Daniel has designed for the new Bond. Kevin McKidd will need to work out a lot, get muscular, and be more fashionable with the trends of what modern urban men do, like getting into the cosmetics that Daniel is known to use. That soft side of men have been ignored, it's been marginalized, but it's made a comeback with progressives on a social level. My friends and I believe that Barbara Broccoli knew about this stuff and didn't want to ignore this modern outlook. I guess Jason Statham could also be Bond. But he's got the same problem that Kevin McKidd has, he's also too tough. He doesn't have the softness of daniel. I just don't think Jason Statham can look convincing capturing the style of Daniel, like wearing the small swimming trunks in CR. If Statham does something like that, he's got to look like he really means it. Daniel just looked comfortable doing that in that scene. You got this idea that he's the modern man that makes a lot of fuzz about his appearance, works out heavily, he can wear stylish clothes like cool tight-fitted shirts, and he doesn't mind that gays find him attractive because he's comfortable with who he is and is socially open-minded. That's the essence of the modern progressive man, and my classmates just think Daniel is cool. My friends have said that they'd like Eon doing a big reboot if Daniel ever leaves. Sort of like what happened with the new Star Trek series. They really got young actors and just reset the whole series. So we were tossing around ideas the other day just for fun, and they were saying that a young actor like Zac Efron would make a great young James Bond. I'm not so sure, but I can see why my friends would pick him. Like Daniel, Zac Efron is known to be into cosmetics, and he's a teen idol and has big hits with those High School Musical movies. So he can be a big draw for teenage girls. But I don't know if he can appeal to gay audiences. That's the other unique thing about daniel Craig, he has a big gay following and feminists like him too because his Bond is not that rude womanizer like before. Daniel's Bond doesn't marginalize anyone. His Bond appeals to everyone so no one is left out. I don't know if a young Bond played by Zac Efron can do that. I just hope these rumors are just crazy rumors. Or some kind of publicity stunt. There's no other actor around right now that can truly follow Daniel's style. I hope Eon realizes that daniel is too big to replace and the series will be in danger without him.

Thanks for the reply alvin. I do think you may be parting ways with the Bond franchise when Daniel Craig takes his final bow.
If Daniel Craig's look is the popular image of James Bond now then Mckidd or someone like Rupert Penry Jones could be cast. I wouldn't mind that as Kevin Mckidd is taller and more handsome than Daniel Craig. For me as a sceptic of Craig as Bond, the only way is up with his successor.
If Barbara Broccoli had been the first person to make some Bond films with the Craig era, then a studio would probably reboot them with Efron as a young Bond. Look what they are going to do with Spiderman, rebooting it with a young Spiderman.

Kevin Costner attempted an English accent in a few scenes of 'Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves'...then decided to just drop it! Ditto for Liam Neeson's Russian accent in 'K-19: The Widow Maker'. Harrison Ford at least did his best Soviet voice all through the movie - halfway through Neeson said ' Aww, to h%ll with it!' and went to his normal sounding self. Very disappointing!

EON should just cast Henry Cavill as the next Bond. Let's move away from the morose, mumbling, craggy toughman thug Bond and have a little of that old fashioned panache and fun again.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I mean, it's cool that you're not ashamed to reveal that you're aroused by Daniel and his approach to Bond. It also tells me that you're a progressive, you believe in over-turning the conventional stuff in society, that's why you're against the claptrap of a tall, dark hero for Bond. I mean, it's cool how you're into a more politically correct, modern metrosexual style for Bond in Daniel Craig. See, that's my problem with Henry Cavill and others. I can't picture them carrying on what Daniel has accomplished. I mean, these actors can't do that style that Daniel has done with the character, a real modern urban man. I don't think those actors like Henry Cavill can look convincing doing that.

She understands the phenomenon of Daniel and how he appeals to other groups like gays and feminists. I just hope in the next film they cut down the violence. I don't mind seeing them go really politically correct and make sure that the villains don't get demonized. They need to be more balanced in that area. I'd like to see Daniel's Bond get a chance to show that he's more understanding of the villain's problems and maybe show him fighting to make sure that the villain's Miranda rights are not violated. Stuff like that. I think it's time the series goes into that direction big time.

Thanks for the reply alvin. I do think you may be parting ways with the Bond franchise when Daniel Craig takes his final bow. I know. The only way I can see myself sticking with the series is if Daniel Craig sticks around as a director or may be a consultant to the series. I heard that other director Sam Mendes was hired as a consultant for now. Maybe they can do something like that with Daniel when he leaves the role. I also heard that the Superman series was being rebooted. This is starting to worry me cuz maybe the same thing will happen with Daniel's Bond. They better not, because many of us Daniel Craig fans will be angry. That's got to impact the box office if we do a strike. But I'll admit that this is worrying me. I was watching QOS last night and I was distracted because of all this talk about daniel being replaced.
