It would be fun if it was true. It would've been deeply ironic to see an unofficial Bond that was more like a Cubby film than the current direction being pursued by Eon.

Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig won't let another Bond franchise start. Even if these rival filmmakers went ahead with this project, they will hit a road block right away. I mean, they will have a hard time competing against Daniel Craig's awesomeness. So the way I see it, they can only carry this on if they can get Daniel to star in their Bond film. That was an idea that my buddies and I talked about last night in our chess club. Just as pure speculation, we thought that it would be cool if this rival movie came out the same year as Eon's next film. That would be unbelievable. We would have 2 Daniel Craig Bond films back-to-back. Everyone at the chess club was deeply moved.

Daniel Craig in stereo? I'm not sure the world is ready for that. Everyone at the chess club was deeply moved. I favour the Nimzo-Indian Defence myself. ;D

If someone had concrete plans to make a rival Bond there would be numerous links on the net.
I can't find much on Google on the proposed series or Mr O'Casey
