It's strange to think Craig will have made more 007 films than Dalton after Bond 23. I hope he doesn't do Bond 24.

The Property of a Lady is another title they haven't used yet. Hello, Gambit is right. They haven't used 'The Property Of A Lady' yet. However, I've read and heard many sources saying that was the exact title they were going to use for Timothy Dalton's third outing as 007...before the whole legal mess between 'Cubby' Broccoli and MGM Studios began, which put the Bond franchise on hold for six years. If found a teaser poster for the movie...except it doesn't include Ian Fleming's title because planning was still in the early stages: THE PROPERTY OF A LADY That's a very Bondian poster and makes you feel sad the Dalton era fizzled out so soon. They should have cast him earlier.

They should have cast him earlier. Hello, I couldn't agree more with Gambit regarding the Dalton era. It's hard to believe, but 'Cubby' approached Timothy for 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' in 1968...when Dalton was only in his early 20's! Timothy, of course...kindly turned Mr. Broccoli down feeling he was 'too young'...and didn't want to follow Sir Sean Connery because he felt 'Sean was too damn good'. Broccoli never relented in his pursuit of Timothy Dalton, pursuing him into the '70's and 80's...but things of course never got going till 1986 when, at the last minute, Dalton became available for 'The Living Daylights'. Damn that stupid litigation with MGM over home video and television broadcast rights (1989 - 1994)! I for one, would have loved at least four Dalton Bond movies...and then he could've passed the torch to Pierce! Oh, well! Take Care!

And two more for DC and he's doubled Dalton's run and drawn level with Brosnan. Brosnan was first suggested for Bond in the early eighties and yet made a paltry four films!

Dalton was only 40 when he became Bond. Five years younger than Moore. If they had kept up with making a Bond movie every two years, he could have made six & retired at 52. That would of course have meant, no Brosnan. To commit to playing Bond for 12 years Dalton would have insisted on the character changing and going down different routes. I'm sure it would have been interesting.

On one of the Ultimate Edition DVDs Michael G Wilson says they went to see Dalton in the seventies to discuss Bond. I think Cubby was always keen on him.

I wonder if there is still an original Bond 17 (not GE) written for Tim out there.

I wonder if there is still an original Bond 17 (not GE) written for Tim out there. I think we discussed it here somewhere once. They wrote a screenplay for a third Dalton film featuring nanobots with sections of the film set in Hong Kong. It sounded quite outlandish.

John Landis was in the running to direct a third Dalton film at one point. It's frustrating really that he made two and was mothballed by litigation whereas Eon have all hands to the pump now with Barbara's beloved Daniel in the role.

Bond 23 should be nicknamed "Michael Jackson Is King. Daniel Craig As James Bond Is Nothing Special."

That would be quite a lot to fit on the poster.

We need a fan art on Bond 23 (aka Michael Jackson Is King And Daniel Craig As James Bond Is Nothing Special).
