Not too sure about Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. He's one of those actors who ends up in everything so you get fed up with him in the end.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

They've made so much money from HP though they are bound to want more books and films again one day.

Do you guys feel that Captain America and Cowboys & Aliens should be pushed back to August instead of late July? Captain America will out in theaters on July 22, 2010 (a week after DH2's release) while Cowboys & Aliens will be out a week later. And since Harry Potter is coming to an end, I don't want DH2 to be overshadowed by these two films a week after its release.

And since Harry Potter is coming to an end, I don't want DH2 to be overshadowed by these two films a week after its release. There's probably a better chance of that situation being reversed- especially if either Captain America or Cowboys and Aliens gets less than stellar reviews. It's easy for a film to be overlooked in late July- especially if audiences are already burnt out on superheroes and explosions. The Dark Knight is a recent example of a blockbuster bucking that trend, but it also had the advantage of massive hype and Warner literally cramming it into theaters. I'm not sure either of next year's contenders will have such advantages.

A week after its release, TDK managed to destroy franchise films including The Mummy 3, The X-Files 2 and The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 2 as well as other blockbusters like Pineapple Express. I hope DH2 will follow the same path as TDK, considering Mr. Potter is finishing his time saving the world on the big screen.

I agree with poirot. HP will make money whatever but Captain America and Cowboys & Aliens are not dead certs at the moment.

DH2 deserves to be #1 for 3 weeks at the US box office this coming July.
