I don't think GE is one of the best films ever. The only Bond film that's a real all time classic is probably Goldfinger.

I'm jealous that CR is being considered one of the best movies of all time in general. Pierce really deserves a Bond movie that is an all time classic.

I'm sure 14-year-old fanboys on Cbn think CR is one the greatest films ever made but in the real world it's a 2006 action film directed by Martin Campbell. It's hardly The Godfather.

when GoldenEye came out after a six year break in the Bond series Brosnan was seen as the messiah and Goldeneye was seen as a great Bond film.
I think it is still regarded as a good film - it's fashionable for a Bond fan to like it.
Lot's of people regarded Casino Royale as a great general film when it was released. I'm not sure if it still regarded as a classic film now three years on.

Do you really think GE is one of the greatest films ever made, 007? No, not really. There are many Bond films I prefer to GE. It's fun though, which is what Bond is supposed to be. A refuge from reality. |

I liked Goldeneye i found it much better than Licence To Kill and the 2 Craig films put together and another Martin campbell film l liked was the mask of zorro.
