Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Which reboot divided fans more? CR or ST. Star Trek possibly. From the stuff I read on various Trek sites the alternate universe plot annoyed many people.

Star Trek possibly. From the stuff I read on various Trek sites the alternate universe plot annoyed many people. Most of us here and DCINB prefer ST over CR. If you are asking which movie I prefer, then I will say Star Trek. I did not like the alternate universe on first viewing. You can be more flexible with the Star Trek universe and any radical departures can be excused because there have been so many incarnations of Star Trek. The reboot in Casino Royale was much more annoying as I was used to the Cubby formula. Both movies divided fans as they made radical changes.

CR I think. Star Trek had run its course and needed a reboot. Bond was still chugging along.

There are ST purists out there who really hate the new Trek.

Is it possible ST XII will end like the odd-numbered Trek films (the 1st 10)? I fear it will end up worse than QOS.

It depends if it has the same director and writers.

Orci and Kurtzman will return writing the script, and Abrams is opened for the sequel.

How about this man having a cameo in the next one? As the older Kirk? Of course.
