Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Overall, I think the show struck the appropriate tone for Superman, especially when compared to a darker animated series like Batman. However, I will say that the series ended on a surprisingly dark note. The episodes dealing with Darkseid were very dark.

Zack Snyder was quoted on Ain't It Cool as saying that the stories about General Zod being the villain in the new film are not true. The main problem with Superman Returns is that it didn't have enough action so they have to give Superman more to do this time. And please, no more 'Superkid' subplots.

I can see how casting Michael Keaton as Batman might have raised a few eyebrows back in 1988 or whenever it was announced.

I can see how casting Michael Keaton as Batman might have raised a few eyebrows back in 1988 or whenever it was announced. The reason is that he's a comedian, and Batfans didn't think he can handle a serious and darker portrayal of the Cape Crusader.

He was also rather short to be Batman. He turned out ok in the end though.

There are people today still consider Keaton as the real Batman.

What did you think of Val Kilmar as Batman? His portrayal of Batman is rather dark but not as dark as Keaton's.

Johnny Depp was considered. He would have been about 25 at the time.

How would Batfans react if Bruce Wayne was to have a ponytail in Batman '89?
