Hi, Wow! There's been some amazing and great submissions to our 'Best Bond Artwork Exhibit'. Thanks for everyone's participation to our 'gallery' so far! It's really no wonder why there was such a huge backlash by the 007 fan base initially to the casting of Daniel Craig as the sixth James Bond. Since the 1950's when 007 creator Ian Fleming started writing those incredible spy novels with everyone's favorite British Secret Agent...we've had an image in our minds about how he should look. The movies only helped to spread the word and reinforce how 'James Bond' should appear. I believe this beautiful piece of artwork below is what the general mass audience pictures in their mind when they think - James Bond 007, Licence To Kill: You can see elements of the Bond of the books and comic strips. It also has a little Connery, a dash of Moore, a pinch of Lazenby to spice up what looks like a cross between Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan. I've begun to like Daniel Craig as James Bond. He's done well with the role. However, based on what I've written here and the illustration above, would I have cast him as 007? Absolutely, inequitably, without any doubt, or hesitation - NO WAY!!! Just some 'food for thought'! Take Care!

I always thought the image of Bond was tall handsome with black hair. Daniel Craig's fans justify his casting by suggesting that Bond was not fully described in the Fleming books. I feel that is a new idea and that there are suggestions that Bond is tall dark and handsome and there is a reason why that traditional Bond image has been around all these years!

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible
