Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

As a confession, I've seen it once, and once is enough. I didn't rent it, but my dad did.

I've seen the original Bond films hundreds of times. I'm not sure that CR is going to join that club.

I saw it twice. Did'nt really improve on the second viewing. It's not a movie i'd make an effort to watch when it starts doing the rounds on ITV.

Only once. I find it annoying to be honest. Perhaps I will see it again in the future on television.

I think it's upto ten to twelve times now. A great debut by Daniel Craig, and perfectly sets up the how Bond became Bond idea. A wonderful cast, some brilliant action scenes (done for real) and an alround good story. A highpoint in the OO7 series and easily the best film since TLD. I enjoyed two of the Brosnan films, and most of GE, but DAD was a series lowpoint for me. CR will get countless future viewings. Infact...

I watched CR twice. Big stupid mistake for me. Once in the theater and once on Netflix rental. Both times I hate it. But I hate it more the second time. I watched it second time so I can give it another chance but it went really horrible. Daniel Craig is boring and he look like he is Vladimir Putin. But my kids thought he is the albino monk in Da Vinci Code. My coworkers have said that lots of things go missing in this movie, it does not have that special quality of what make Bond movie stand out from all other action films. They have said that it remind them of Bourne. I agree with them. There is no more James Bond in CR. It is like Bourne now.

I think DC's popularity is generally quite high in the UK, but reading posts from some of our more worldwide friends the clamour does not seem to be as high elsewhere. Could it be that the UK in general relates to this style more than the rest of the world? or is the UK more willing to accept change?

I realise that Daniel Craig has few fans here, and at other sites. He may not be quite as popular in parts of the US, but then I know many fans from all over the world that think Craig is a great Bond. I think it's down to personal taste.

I respect British film industry and I have been to UK a few times. I admire beautiful land and rich history. I think James Bond is main force of British film industry and bring big revenue to that industry, so maybe that Craig popularity there is coming from that experience and also in national pride. So much negatives go to Craig and CR when he casted as Bond and I thought there was reaction of support for him because Bond series look like in trouble. If that is the case, I respect the reaction. Here in America when I do business travel to other states and I talk to coworkers during dinner breaks and we talk movies, I always see no admiration for Craig. They even not remember his name, and say something like Clive Owen should make for good James Bond. Craig is not Bond in the eyes of lots of people here in America. Bond must be for actor that is big screen personality, like classic leading man. That is part of formula in the past, and Cubby Broccoli has been finding actors that everyone admire big time like Sean or Roger, Pierce of course. They did not do that for CR. Make it this way, there is interest in Bond films but I do not sense excitement for them like the way people get excited for Indiana Jones or any latest Spielberg film is coming out. Even in electronic stores when I shop for plasma TV, many big department stores do not show CR as demo for plasma TVs. I always see other Hollywood movies like Pirates of Carribbean.

I think it's because most people outside of the UK had no idea who he was. Personally, I had to look him up on IMDB- only to realize I had already seen him in many films.

One and a half. Once in the cinema and half of it on DVD.
