Did anyone else buy David Arnold's Shaken and stirred Album from several years ago? I've got this on tape somewhere. It's alright but nothing special.

Who do you think will get the coveted prize of singing the next Bond theme and what style do you think it will be in?

Who do you think will get the coveted prize of singing the next Bond theme and what style do you think it will be in? Someone joked on a forum once that Craig and Broccoli should do a duet. Stranger things have probably happened.

Muse would do a good Bond theme but I doubt they'll be asked. Or be interested. Hey, I'm listening to Muse right now! "Time is Running Out" currently playing. It'd wouldn't make a terrible Bond theme in its own right! I think a Muse Bond theme would be fantastic! I'm still pissed of that KD Lang's "Surrender" was played at over the end credits of Tomorrow Never Dies. It SO should've been the theme.

I would love for David Arnold to use a piece Barry wrote simply titled "007". Does anyone know the theme I'm referring to? It's not the Monty Norman Bond theme, I believe it was first used in "From Russia With Love". Yep, that was originally supposed to be the Bond theme. Producers didn't think it had quite the edge they were looking for; so they paid Monty Norman $500 to write the Bond theme we know in one afternoon! And that's all he got for penning one of the most-recognizeable pieces of music in history... no royalty agreements or anything.

They could well be a good choice. I actually enjoyed Chris Cornell's theme for CR. It was the best Bond theme since GE for me.

Sadly, someone obviously decided that Sheryl Crow would shift more discs. I can't believe it was a purely creative decision.

John Barry's contribution is greatly missed. Who can forget the great L&LD theme song & score which helped galvanise the film and helped make Moore's debut a success. Or carly Simons memorable song or the wonderful score of O. John Barry's film score's made the Bond films seem more dramatic, exciting and majestic. He always knew when to play the music the loudest, usually in the films best moments. I doubt that anyone remembers David Arnolds scores now & definatly won't remember them in 20 or 30 years.

Half the songs on Muse's last CD would have made a great Bond score. BB should give them a ring.

David Arnold does not have a distinctive sound.

David Arnold does not have a distinctive sound. I think Arnold is good. The bigger problem for him, is that Barry was great. The non Barry scores just don't seem to deliver, apart from Martin's wonderful score for LALD.

Commercial reasons will probably mean that they will have a singer/group doing the theme tune.
