Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Because of this, QOS doesn't deserve to be #1 at the box office (especially here in the US) and nominations from the Golden Globes or the Oscars. And Uwe Boll needs to direct Bond 23 as long as DC's in it.

I suppose this new poster proves that Daniel Craig is a new type of Bond for a new audience.

Thought Bond was supposed to be a spy with a gun in his pocket. Not a massive machine gun in his hand.

Thought Bond was supposed to be a spy with a gun in his pocket. Not a massive machine gun in his hand. Hello, A very good point Adam, and I couldn't agree with you more. James Bond sets the standard for action and adventure...he doesn't follow it. He should move with the times and be contemporary, but there's no need for him to be toting a gun of that size. It's just not Bond's style! In 1989's "Licence To Kill"...007 was in a similar situation where he was very angry and A.W.O.L. on a revenge mission. Dalton's Bond inflicted so much pain and torture and brought Sanchez down using his cunningness, wits, and eventually the beautiful lighter Felix and Della had given him as a gift for being the best man at their wedding. James Bond is James Bond. He is NOT Batman, Jason Bourne, Sigourney Weaver in "Aliens", The Terminator, or Stallone's Rambo. He is a British Secret Agent with a licence to kill. That's it and that's all. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson should give their creative collective heads a shake. The state of the Bond franchise right now is interesting, but also very frustrating to those who really know and love the character. Ian Fleming and Cubby Broccoli must be turning over in their graves. Take Care!

The Bond artwork has been uninspired for years now.

Thought Bond was supposed to be a spy with a gun in his pocket. Not a massive machine gun in his hand. An intention might be to draw in more fans of other action films. It all confirms the theory that Craig and the reboot are more for people who don't particurly like the James Bond series of films produced from 1962 to 2002.

Many traditional Bond fans are aghast, and numerous people who profess to dislike Bond movies loved Casino Royale

Why should Americans care about DC The Antichrist as Bond? Great or not, he's nothing special.

The US performance of QOS will be very interesting. It was the one place that didn't quite go mad for CR. Eon should really be doing $200 million + there with the 007 brand and hype.
