Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

The Omega watch and DC The Antichrist don't mix.

Lacks the old magic for me. I prefer the days when the Bond poster was a piece of artwork rather than a photoshop thing.

What happend to the naked women! They had to go I'm sad to say. James Bond films are incredibly serious and all these rocket scientist Bond fans won't stand for it. Humour, scantily clad women in the titles. It was just absurd. If Cubby was still alive some of these fanboys might even peer out from their copy of Proust and sue him.

I think the big gun be showed off is not good thing, what with the nife and gun culture, it doesent send out a very good messege, it almost says its cool to carry a gun, there not complaining about that, but if bond started smoking again they would be up in arms, what does everyone else think?

You could level that charge at loads of films so I think it's a bit unfair to single out QOS. Like most people I've watched countless action films without ever having an urge to go out and shoot someone. I'm not a great fan of Bond going too Rambo though. For example, I found the end of TND with Brosnan shooting hundreds of people with machine guns a bit generic and uninspired.

If you look at the poster a few times the gun is the centre point.

I dont think im trying to single the film out, its just i think the poster maybe sending out the wrong messege. I think Eon are trying to go for a younger demographic to be honest. The eight of us left who love the James Bond series and don't go; Brosnan was crap, Roger Moore was crap, OHMSS was ruined by Lazenby, I hated John Glen, YOLT was rubbish etc, etc, are not that overjoyed by a machine gun toting Daniel Craig as the image of Bond. But it seems to do it for some.

My own opinion smartboy is that the emphasis is on making Craig/Bond seem tough and violent. A nutcase. Ohhhh, you wouldn't mess with him. That sort of thing. He's not Cary Grant and even Eon know this (not that they'd admit it) so you have to play up the fact that he scowls a lot and has done some bodybuilding. The oversized machine gun poster is all part of this.
