The South Bank Show is a famous arts TV program on UK TV. The Streets, Ronnie Corbett and James Bond are part of the diverse autumn line-up for The South Bank Show.
The ITV1 arts show returns on Sunday September 21 with a film on Mike Skinner's band, who programme makers describe as "a truly original voice, whose music marks the soundtrack of today's urban youth".
This will be followed in October with The One Ronnie, a portrait of one of the country's best loved comedians.
It features specially written new material, and explores Ronnie's passions for golf, cookery and fine tailoring; as well as a critique of contemporary comedy.
Another programme follows a year in the life of film-maker and photographer Sam Taylor-Wood, with exclusive access to her life and work as she makes her first short film (which premiered at Cannes), attends the opening of her first major retrospective in the US and prepares for an exhibition of new work at White Cube.
And Bond fans will be delighted by a definitive profile of one of the most enduring icons of popular culture. Melvyn Bragg interviews Daniel Craig on what it means to be Bond, and Sean Connery the first and most iconic Bond.
The show also looks at the creative and artistic aspects particular to the Bond brand and discovers why the Bond films have always been a major cultural event.musicnews.virginmedia.com/news/?news_id=81395

I used to tape all the new Bond specials on television but I'm struggling to dredge up any interest lately.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I think he means the Bond we used to no is dead, the Bond that kept used entertained for the last 40 years. Craig is not that Bond we new and loved. But for a new generation - well i just dont no, ive been ever so confused since he was chosen?

Yes i agree but we must move on now, i think Pierce has now, think we should be celebrating 40 years and 20 great traditional Bond films that Babs cannot take away from us, she dosent have her fathers vision, i see that now after i watched some of the extra features on the "Moonraker" ulitmate edtition dvd - when Cubby describes how Bond should be fun and not to serious and the public should feel fullfilled when they come out of the cinema, with the right actor as Bond - Roger Mooore at the time. I dont feel that way with Craig, not very nice to look at if you ask me, i still dont see his appeal, hes not aged very well.

Lets just forget about watching QOS. It's all about Twilight or Madagascar 2 this holiday season. As for Kidman's Australia, we don't know.
