Will Bond have any gadgets in Quantum of Solace? How about a laser in his Ka. I think it's a shame that they do not have outlandish gadgets in Bond now, considering the pace of technology in the real world. I may be alone in this, but I loved the invisible car, and the face changing technology in Die Another Day.

It sounds like Bond won't be getting much assistance from MI6 this time out. But even if he were, Q's not even allowed to work there anymore. I may be alone in this, but I loved the invisible car, and the face changing technology in Die Another Day. I'm surprised the invisible car gets so much hate, when the virtual reality machine was far more outlandish. I remember sitting in the theater, knowing that the invisible car was coming up. After the reaction from many online fans, I was sure the whole scene was going to bomb with the crowd. The audience was initially quiet, as if they weren't really sure how they felt about the idea. But then Bond reacted, and said something like, "Oh, I like that!" It instantly won the crowd over and the scene generated one of the best responses of the entire film. It's a good example of why Brosnan was such a great Bond. He could take the most absurd ideas, and convince the audience that they somehow made sense.

Pierce Brosnan was having fun with the movie...and you could tell in his performances he hoped you were having fun, too. However, NOBODY did this better than Sir Roger Moore! ;D Take Care!

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I think DC should have a gadget that puts people to sleep by playing Mr. G's Songbird.

The Quantum of Solace wikipedia entry states: "There will be more gadgets than in Casino Royale, though they will still aim to be realistic."
I'm not sure how to interpret that. Will there will be more product placement involving actual electronic goods that everyone can buy?
The Wikipedia entry also says Joshua Zetumer is helping with the script. He is writing a new adaption of Dune. I'm not sure what difference he will make to Solace.

I thought The Dark Knight actually made great use of the Q character with Morgan Freeman. You don't have to make Q a buffoon.
