Do you wish that Lazenby and Dalton could have made more films?
I would have liked Lazenby to have made another, but his film would have had the look of Diamonds Are Foreever which is away from the look of On Her Majesty's Secret Service that made it so good.
I'd have liked to have seen Dalton make another. It would have been interesting to see Cubby Broccoli's response to the unpopularity of Licence To Kill.

I'd have loved another Dalton film. Lazenby could have gone on but the fact he was in possibly the best film for his debut would have made it difficult for him to be accepted in what would have been weaker films. He wasn't really accepted in OHMSS either.

Hello,
I would've loved to have seen George Lazenby in "Diamonds Are Forever"...with some rage and vengeance on his mind after Blofeld and his henchwoman gunned down his poor wife Tracy in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". (ala "Licence To Kill")
Timothy Dalton is one if not my favorite James Bond. Obviously...an incredibly gifted actor, he had great respect for what Ian Fleming intended. I would've loved for him to have done at least three.
Timothy was so harshly criticized by some for taking the role "too seriously"...yet people praise Daniel Craig! What gives?
Mr. Dalton was obviously the right Bond, and definitely ahead of his time!
Take Care!

i quite like them both but i think Dalton has the edge, he took the role in another direction when Roger Moore retired. if you want the closest thing to flemings Bond, Dalton is it. Lazenby for a none actor did quite well and handled the action scenes with aplomb, Dalton was too great in the action sequences and did a lot of his own stunts and really took the role seriously

It would have been nice to see George follow on from Diamonds Are Forever. But I am happy with the way it panned out, with the master taking over after DAF. Dalton showed that if you want to make a "Fleming" Bond film that is a bit more grounded than usual, then there are actors who look the part who are available. Tim is 6'2, handsome with black hair - and didn't feel the need to bodybuild.

Yes, Craig was basically in a position where he had to bulk up. Otherwise, he would've simply appeared too small.

I think he looked better before the bodybuilding.

That is a true statement, Bond should be dark haired that is how he is described in the books and how he traditionaly has been in the films

I've been talking to his agent, and this is the Bond 22 look Daniel is going for:

Hello, Harry Palmer, you crack me up!...I'm terrified to ask when that picture of what is most definitely Daniel Craig was taken!!!! I sincerely hope he's got that look for something he's filming this year...and doesn't "dare to be different" between Bond films. (Cubby Broccoli wanted to strangle George Lazenby for growing his hair long and having a full beard post "OHMSS" if I recall. Didn't matter though...everyone knew George wouldn't be back) If this is a recent picture of Mr. Craig...he looks like he's aged ten years! He's aging quicker than Ewan MacGregor in the freakin' Star Wars pre-quels, without make-up!!! I quote Sigorney Weaver as Ripley when I say: "Be afraid...be VERY afraid! P.S. Pierce Brosnan's beard doesn't have that much grey!!! Take Care!

I didn't realize Craig's hairline was that bad.

I can't believe his hair is white. The guy's barely 40!

I didn't realize Craig's hairline was that bad. I think Eon might have to dig out Sean Connery's old toupee soon.

Eon/Sony has started shooting in Tuscany in early August. Supposedly, Craig was on location. Here's a photo of him, which to me isn't exactly flattering. He always reminded me of a geriatric version of Vladmir Putin. But in this photo, he looks even older, the craggy mug even more prominent. He has definitely matured quite a bit. He still has short, coarse hair. For CR, there wasn't a whole lot of hair on his head, so in this photo, they may have padded it with some kind of hairpiece.
