Now that Craig is getting too old to play Bond, I wonder if EON will try to get Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass for the next film?

It is truly bizarre that Craig was supposed to be a young Bond on his first mission. Has everyone gone mad or is it me?

i agree i think he took the body building to a ridiculous height, Bonds not supposed to be that big, Brosnan filled out in tomorrow Never Dies though, he was quite slight in Goldeneye

Is it me or does it look like their making the most minuscule effort of making Craig's hair darker?... Wishful thinking, I guess.

I'm not sure that Craig is going bald. His hair in the film 'Munich' was quite thick and his hair in October 05 when he was annonced as Bond was also quite long. It's probably the producers telling him to keep it short. If he does go bald he can probably keep it quiet as the best toupees are top notch these days (not that i use one !). If he goes grey he can die his hair. His craggy face seems to have aged but 'botox' and a few discreet nips and tucks not to mention some work from the make up/special effects team can help him look the right side of 50.

I'm not sure Lazenby would have kept the Bond movies going in the 70's. OHMSS had flopped at the box office and the public had'nt taken to him. His lack of acting experience was obvious and his voice was dubbed for a lot of the film. The only thing he was good at was the fight scenes. I did'nt think Lazenby was that handsome or had any charm or wit about him (a bit like Craig) He looked older than 30 and his haircut was'nt great. Mind you at least it was'nt a toupee. Apparantly he did'nt get on with the director and being an unknown probably found the media attention hard. The Bond films went into another direction in the 70's, under Moore. This change helped keep the Bond films popular & fresh. Lazenby was basically a Connery clone. Could he have made a film like TSWLM, O, or M ? I doubt it.

Dalton was the right man at the wrong time. Appointed as Bond at the last minute after a massive search which saw Brosnan cruelly miss out. The script for TLD had already been written so Dalton could'nt stamp his own personality on the part. Dalton's performance was a pale shadow of Connery and Moore in their prime. LTK was a big improvement and Dalton seemed to have made his mark. Everyone expected several more Bond films. Dalton was still young enough to have starred in G & TND dispite the 6 year gap after LTK & the script for G was written with Dalton in mind. But he had lost interest. If he was'nt motivated i'm glad he did'nt continue. The producers were apparantly after Dalton for years. Would have interesting to see him in FYEO, O & AVTAK. Or even OHMSS & DAF.

Dalton would have been perfect for a young Bond in the seventies.
