Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Brosnan had his 80's look in GoldenEye with the longer hair. I thought he looked great in The World Is Not Enough when he was slightly older. Pierce looked WAY younger than 41/42 when he did GE like he was in his late 20s.

I read once that Brosnan had filmed the gunbarrel for The Living Daylights before it all fell through.

Brosnan would have been fine playing Bond in 87 although he was a little bit skinny around that time.

I think he was too young looking and still had a very American air to him around that time. Though in saying that he was quite good in The Fourth Protocol. As for the gun barrell, it's never been seen. Just look at the one Dalton did, then put Remmington Steele in it. Hey presto, one Brosnan circa 1987.

Brosnan being skinny in 86 was'nt really a problem. He could have just bulked up in the gym prior to filming.
He did look very young but Ian Fleming's Bond is supposed to be 37, is'nt he ? He was older than Connery and Lazenby when they got the part. Maybe with shorter hair he would have looked older. He did look like a potential Bond in 'The Forth Protocol'.

Yes, Bond is usually somewhere in his thirties. Brosnan certainly didn't seem wimpy in The Fourth Protocol.

Ive often thought about this, TLD have a very special memory for me, i still have the cinema ticket, £2.50 at the wycombe six screen in 1987, i just loved Timothys Bond, for me no other actor could replace him in this film, he had such screen resence in this film, playing the one woman man. Tim and George, the "forgotten Bonds" actually had two of the best films for their debuts - and they were both wonderful too!
