Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I just went to imdb to look GE's (travesty version) rating, and it's rated 6.8.

www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php?itemid=9061&t=mi6&s=news 'GoldenEye 007' enters US top ten chart, 'Blood Stone' is DOA Gaming - 13-11-10
One of the two new James Bond videogames released last week squeaked in to the top ten selling videogames chart in the USA (all titles, all platforms), but it wasn't the one most people expected.
Despite being only sold on the Nintendo Wii platform, "GoldenEye 007" entered the US charts at #10 with an estimated 96,735 units sold. Some blogs noted the game had sold out in some locations.
The other 007 title, "Blood Stone", which had the advantage of launching on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC could only muster an estimated 50,407 units across all platforms (18825, 24208 and 7374 units respectively).
The Nintendo DS versions of each game were not included in the above totals.
Given past performance of James Bond videogames in the charts, "Blood Stone" may become of the lowest selling 007 titles in the past 10 years. The current record holder, "From Russia With Love" by EA Games, only sold an estimated 800,000 units on all platforms in the USA and Europe.
Official chart figures for the month of November will not be known until the next NPD report.I can't believe this travesty version of GE made into the US Top 10 chart. This is such an insult to Pierce. And I hope BloodStone does worse than TND game.

This is more or less what I expected.
You shouldn't worry so much about Pierce, since I'm sure most gamers who bought it would've preferred to have had the original actor in the role. The game didn't sell because it featured Craig. If that were the case, Blood Stone wouldn't be such a flop. The real selling point is the prospect of getting to play GoldenEye's beloved multiplayer on the Wii. For a system that isn't exactly known for shooters, that's a fairly big deal.
Blood Stone is another story. Unlike GoldenEye, it was marketed around Craig's Bond and is the closest thing to a sequel his fans are likely to see for at least another two years. Despite that, it's a non-starter- and a surprisingly weak attempt to duplicate the success of Everything Or Nothing.

If a remake of CR video game is made in the next decade, Carrot Top should be hired to play Bond. PERIOD!

I'm not really into video games but when I got GE/Wii as a Holiday present I'm starting to catch up on the news about this game. It's just awesome that it's a big hit. I mean, this is reported at www.mi6.co.uk/news/index.php?itemid=9152&catid=7&t=mi6&s=games. I think the success has to do with remaking teh GE game and revamping it with Daniel Craig's Bond. This is also a good sign that lots of young people are excited by Daniel's Bond and will look forward to Bond 23. I know my classmates and I are in that category. This is all good news for the series. I mean, we can look forward to more games and movies.

Ok. That's your decision and good for you. What? I don't know where you get off on this business about feeling sorry for you. My comment didn't even have a reference to you. I don't even know if you're into games. I was just reading a report on another site about how the GE game was a hit and I just made some comments about how this is good news for the franchise.

I don't even know if you're into games. I don't play games as I used to anymore. Since we're talking about games here, I haven't played the original GE, and I wish I had. When I read about GE in Wii, I was really excited, but after seeing DC's mug is on the poster, I changed my mind. Screw GE Wii and long live StarCraft. GE Wii being a hit as a good news is nothing more than an UTTER DISGRACE and a TOTAL TRAVESTY not only to the franchise but also to the entire pop culture. If there's any game that has a true meaning of a definite pop culture, that game is StarCraft. Screw GE and any Bond games featuring DC past, present, and future.
