Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Next is Star Trek: Nemesis. It's the last Trek movie not only from the TNG crew but also from Jerry Goldsmith as a composer and the old Trek universe we know. Putting it this way, this is the franchise's last movie before rebooting. Unfortunately, this even-numbered Trek flopped (the worst in Star Trek history), and I don't know it should be considered a swan song. Many reviews responded that the franchise had became stale. One of the reviewers, Roger Ebert, said "I'm smiling like a good sport and trying to get with the dialogue … and gradually it occurs to me that 'Star Trek' is over for me. I've been looking at these stories for half a lifetime, and, let's face it, they're out of gas." According to this interview (for those who haven't seen it), Levar Burton gave the reason why Nemesis did poorly at the box office: It's a pity that First Contact is the only TNG film attracted to general public, and Nemesis is bad ending for the TNG crew (just like DAD is to Pierce's Bond tenure). And here's the question: would there be a reboot even if Nemesis was a box office success? Whether we will see the old classic Trek universe again, we don't know. As much as I love the reboot and the new universe, it would be nice if the next series continues where Nemesis left off and this time taking place in the 25th century.

The best I can say about this one is that it's not very memorable. I saw it once in theaters and didn't remember anything about it when I revisited it on dvd. That was only a couple years ago and yet I still don't recall much about it.
I do think the decision to open it just days before the Lord of the Rings sequel cut into its box office, but I have a feeling it was always going to be the Next Generation crew's swansong. It may not have been very good, but it did provide a definite sense of closure among the characters.
It's a shame they waited so long to use Romulans as the bad guys. (I always thought Star Trek V should've employed them.) Overall, the movie isn't terrible, just underwhelming.

7/10
I like it and do not think it is awful. It did provide a nice ending for the crew (not their retirement as in Star Trek 6) who had no where to go unless some TV movies were made. Killing off Mr Data but providing a way back for him similar to Spock in Wrath of Khan was a bit silly I thought.

I thought it was ok but nothing special. I think the TNG crew probably needed to make one more film to go out on a high but the films were not doing great numbers. I do miss Captain Picard sometimes. Btw, anyone think Genievieve Bujold would have made a better Captain Janeway than Kate Mulgrew? She shot a load of scenes before she decided to leave. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SIZcDWKyw0
