It's a nice idea of giving Arnold a rest now and again. As great as John Barry was I thought the scores for Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me were great too so it could work. With Goldeneye, I read that they had to add the Bond theme to the tank chase themselves because they though Serra was far too sparing with the 007 music. I think he barely used it at all!

His scores for Leon and The Big Blue were great but I don't think he quite worked for Bond. I like some of the score but it feels a bit dated and generic now. I don't mind Arnold but a change might be nice.

Arnold is ok but they could probably do better. It might be a good idea to shake up the writers and music if they ever reboot again.

There are some good choices in the article but I would have Thunderball or Casino Royale instead of Goldeneye.

What are the five essentials for you folks?
Mine are (alphabetically):
For Your Eyes Only Moonraker Octopussy The Spy Who Loved Me You Only Live Twice
Those are my favorites, not necessarily the ones I think are the best.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Very good list Captain. I think you have six though.
FBF, you have a list with only two actors who played Bond (Brosnan and Dalton). Same as me, but I have Connery and Moore. I usually stick to my two favorites when I watch Bond films. Is that the case for you?

I'm seeing a lot of support for Moonraker I am pleasantly surprised because apparently there are supposed to be all these people who don't like the film.

For some reason many of those "serious" Bond fans who profess to only liking Dr. No, From Russia With Love and the Craig movies have a soft spot for Moonraker!!!
It gets better with age and is a wonderfully made extravaganza.
