I think The Living Daylights was the last fim Cubby produced hands on. Age caught up with him after that.

So he didn't produce Licence To Kill?

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Maybe that was the first film where Babs and MGW took on a much bigger role than usual.

I think Barbara was in charge of the tanker chase.

I think Cubby took more of a back seat on LTK but he was still there.

One of the last things he must have done was approve the casting of Brosnan.

One of the last things he must have done was approve the casting of Brosnan. Aside from Tim, Cubby had Pierce in mind for Bond since before Remington Steele.

I think Brosnan visited the set of FYEO (his late wife was in the film) and Cubby said he would make a good Bond when he saw him way back then.

And it was Pierce's first wife who wanted him to be Bond.

A lot of people would say Casino Royale was a classic Bond film, not that I'd agree with them. No, I wouldn't either. It's been downhill since the new team took over.
