There are lots of people who really seem to dislike Daniel Craig on the internet (more than the other Bonds). Why is this? Is it because he looks different from the normal Bond and there was a radical reboot? Or is because there are more chances to comment on the internet now?
I don't dislike Craig btw, I just don't think he looks like Bond and did not like the reboot.

There are lots of people who really seem to dislike Daniel Craig on the internet (more than the other Bonds). it depends, if you visit commanderbod, mi6, or absolutely james bond site, there a lot people like daniel Craig, in fact those site i mention above, the member seems to enjoy to bash Brosnan than any other Bonds. Although some of them like Brosnan, but they are minorities. And if you go to IMDB many moviegoers hate Brosnan and Craig equally. Why is this? Is it because he looks different from the normal Bond and there was a radical reboot? A lot of reasons to dislike Craig, first they are Brosnan Fans. They don't like the Producer kick Brosnan's ass out of the franchise, they feel Brosnan deserve another one . I think the radical reebot is not the problem, if the actor suitable with their hope and imagination (such as Cavill), they can forget Brosnan departure easily. Or is because there are more chances to comment on the internet now? Yes, absolutely. Imagine if there were internet when Lazenby replace Connery, i believe there would be a site GeorgeLazenbynotBond.com I don't dislike Craig btw, I just don't think he looks like Bond and did not like the reboot. I don't like Craig but i don't hate him either. He is much better actor compare to Brosnan IMO . I appreciate his effort, He read all the novel, he understand the literally character, and he try not to imitate any actor's approach before him. Brosnan never read one of them. He combined Connery and Moore approach. Brosnan bring nothing new to character development. Craig in the other hand, bring the character more genuine (same like Dalton-which is my favorite). Hey even Lazenby's OHMSS better than Brosnan's Bond.

I'm sure I read a story that said Daniel Craig started reading a Fleming novel for Casino Royale but ended up throwing it away. Daniel Craig is odd as people either love him or hate him and fans (many more knowledgeable than I!) either say he is "Fleming's Bond" or "not Bond at all!". Goerge Lazenby had to succeed Sean and anyone would have had trouble with that!

[Craig] read all the novel, he understand the literally character, and he try not to imitate any actor's approach before him. I saw a Craig interview on TV when CR was just about to be released, and Craig said he gave up reading the Fleming books. He looked at one or two, but didn't like them and felt he didn't need to read them. Actually Brosnan did read the Fleming novels. I've got a number of magazine articles from publications like Cinescape. These articles were published during the 90s. In one article, Brosnan states he had to look at the Fleming books. Even as far back as 1986 when he was about to get the role, he bought all the books. In 1994, during the press junket for his official casting, he said (and this is a a quote from Cinescape): "I think the element of danger would have to be brought back. I think you'd have to go right back to the beginning and find what Ian Fleming put on paper." Well, I disagree completely. Brosnan's not my favorite Bond (I'm a Connery fan and always will be). But Brosnan's approach is sincere and I've read all the Fleming books and can see elements of the literary character in Brosnan's style. In my view, Craig is so metrosexual and too PC. He's so off-based with th character that he actually agreed to ridicule the character by dressing in drag for that weird promo video.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Time to send in a FAR ugly DC clone as Bond, and his name is Carrot Top.

I think Craig has split the fans more than other actors would have done.

I hope not. He's perfect for the role! Jerry probably has a little more acting experience than Lazenby when he did OHMSS.
