Given that the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ will be Christopher Nolan’s final Batman instalment as Director, I was contemplating the possibility of Nolan directing a Bond film. Nolan has not hid his admiration of the James Bond character and lists ‘’On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ as a personal favourite. He is currently involved with the reboot of Superman ‘Man of Steel’ so appears to like to put his own distinctive mark on popular franchises. Nolan is also known to utilise actors/actresses from his previous films so potentially Henry Cavill could well be a possibility as a future Bond.
The sticking point is not Nolan’s reluctance to be involved but his long term agreement with Warner Bros. I’d like to think that Nolan will direct a Bond film in the future.
Thoughts???

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Christian Bale could be Bond, although he does not seem to get mentioned for the Bond role at the moment!
It would be good for Christopher Nolan to shape the first post-Craig Bond film.

Christopher Nolan likes the old Bond so that would be a change.

It would be great. I don't think it would happen as Barbara Broccoli has a lot of creative control over a Bond movie.

I think the Bond franchise is sort of beneath Christopher Nolan. I can't see him taking orders from BB and whoever she hires to write the script.

Inception was very Bondish.
Nolan said he would like to do a Bond film but Steven Spielberg also said that once.
I would think if he did one it would "Rises" to our expectations.
