Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Only found out about it today as I've been out the country. It's a real shame Heath has passed away. Like River Phoenix I feel we have lost a truly excellent young actor who would have got even better. A sad day.

This was a shock. Other celebrities have a history of the kind of behaviour that could lead to an early death, but Heath did not seem to be involved in that.
A great shame. RIP.

Hello,
I read about the tragic passing of Heath Ledger on MSN about an hour after it happened. It's so tragic...even before he was cast as the Joker in "The Dark Knight", I thought he was an incredibly talented actor, and have read the he really just wanted to be a "regular guy"...who lived in New York, who took his acting very seriously...but didn't take fame too seriously.
Although I found "Brokeback Mountain" a little too dark and depressing, it was a very well made movie and he was excellent. (hence the Oscar nomination)
Mel Gibson hand picked him from hundreds of Australian hopefuls for "The Patriot"...saying he had never seen such "raw, natural talent in a young actor".
Christopher Nolan...being the class act that he is, I'm hoping will dedicate "The Dark Knight" in memory of Heath.
Like Skywalker mentioned...River Pheonix, now Heath Ledger, two amazing talents that the world lost far too soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fans.
Yes, it is very sad.
Take Care!

Heath Ledger and his daughter Matilda Rose Ledger on November 17, 2007.Us Magazine Heath Ledger's 2-year-old daughter Matilda Rose will inherit the late actor's entire $16.6 million estate, according to Perth, Australia's Sunday Times.
The Dark Knight star -- who died last January of a prescription drug overdose at the age of 28 -- had named his parents and sisters as the beneficiaries in his will.
But the will was made before the birth of his daughter. Some reports speculated that Ledger's ex Michelle Williams would lodge a claim.
But Ledger's father Kim tells Perth's Sunday Times, "There is no claim. Our family has gifted everything to Matilda."
In March, Kim issued a statement: "Matilda is an absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family. They will be taken care of and that's how Heath would want it to be."
Both Williams and Ledger's family recently pledged to contribute an undisclosed amount to a scholarship to help emerging Australian actors and honor the memory of Ledger.
Applications are available online and will be accepted from Oct. 1 to Nov. 28, with the first beneficiary to be announced by mid-February.
