Pierce has been on British TV a lot in connection with Mamma Mia.
He is looking really great. Shame he could not have made a Diamonds Are Forever or Never Say Never Again comeback!

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Like Sean, Pierce has a successful post-Bond career.

Hello,
I agree with Harry. Pierce does look great. I think Pierce will always be a handsome chap and he just gets more distinguished looking (he looked a bit boyish in his early 30's). Similar to Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan just gets better and better with age... like a fine wine.
I almost wish Kevin Mc Clory were still alive to stir up some shite, finance another rival Bond movie, (maybe "Warhead 2010") and have it star Pierce as 007! It would do my heart good to see Pierce strike back and kick EON where it hurts!!!
I'm usually not one for musicals...but I'm excited about "Mamma Mia". I grew up listening to ABBA, and my Mom loves them, also!
Put that into a movie with Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep (who also is looking more beautiful as she gets older) and I'll gladly spend my pounds (or as we say in Canada, my Loonies)!
Take Care!
P.S. It bothers me a bit that a great movie studio like M.G.M. is now owned by Sony!

The first important U.S. review for Mamma Mia is out, and it's very positive. This is from the Hollywood Reporter (the URL is a bit long, so I hope it works): www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/television/reviews/article_display.jsp?JSESSIONID=cJYLLnFTJbv3RYhncTkpn3hQQSmv8Q7lXQTm4Tw5Q11hDWvGyxQT!-560156021&&rid=11342 Some excerpts: "Teenage boys may be glued to the latest action adventure, but the rest of the family will be having a rollicking good time and dancing in the aisles to Swedish pop group ABBA's irresistible songs. It's a delightful piece of filmmaking with a marvelous cast topped by Meryl Streep in one of her smartest and most entertaining performances ever.""The Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus songs have memorably sturdy lyrics that the filmmakers weave with great skill into their story. All of the players perform with gusto including Skarsgard, ex-007 Brosnan and noted Mr. Darcy Firth who, far from embarrassing themselves, sing well and deserve high praise for being such good sports."Would you believe it, my teenagers are excited to see this film. I myself grew up on ABBA music, so I am curious to see the movie. I'm looking forward to the new Batman film and I've seen the other action films released so far, but I think Mamma Mia will be a good break from all the explosions.

It's not really my thing but I hope Brosnan has a big hit. And he did look terrific on television recently, at least as good as he looked in Die Another Day.

Tracking on this has been pretty good, and it's expected to open well. A classic example of counter-programming, which means that it won't lose any of its core audience to Batman. It's already opened in some overseas markets, and has proved to be a big hit in most of them.
Last night, Brosnan was promoting it on David Letterman's show. He does still look remarkably youthful- actually better than the promo shots I had been seeing for the film. EON could've easily made two more films with him, and let him retire from the series in either 2006 or 2007.

At the very least Brosnan deserved a fifth Bond to say goodbye.

It's doing very well. Positive reviews, all saying that it's nonsense but a lot of fun. It knocked Hancock off the top spot here.
