Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Is it possible that The Dark Knight would earn more than Indy IV?

I think it might be opening too late in the summer to be the highest-grosser. Iron Man's been going strong for two months, and it's only at around $310 million. Batman may also lack the same appeal with family audiences that Iron Man and Indy had.
On a related note, I just googled Batman Begins' gross, and was surprised at how low it actually was on the year's Top Ten. In 2005, it was only #8 domestically and #9 worldwide. I assumed the franchise name would be bigger worldwide, but I guess not.

Indy is over $300 million in the United States alone now isn't it? TDK is shaping up to be a very (no pun intended) dark film, even for Batman, so it might not have mass appeal. It does look very good though.

How long will TDK surpass Indy 4? I think it might surpass it in the US FBF. $300 million looks possible. Not sure about worldwide. The reviews and the Heath Ledger factor are making it a must see film. Here in Britain we have to wait until next week though.
