Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I'm not sure this is such a great move on Warner's part, as Harry Potter has proven to be box office gold during Thanksgiving. They appear to be letting Batman's success go to their head, and thinking anything they open late can be a smash.
But they would do well to remember Prince Caspian's failure earlier this year. The film received great reviews and would've likely been a big hit during the winter months. Instead, the studio got greedy and tried to open it in May.

Bullsh*t if you ask me. With Harry Potter 6 delayed, I fear that QOS will have a great advantage of making more money than CR. I hope Madagascar 2 will have the guts to take the box office gold for 3 weeks before Transporter 3 comes out on Thanksgiving.

I wouldn't worry too much about its effect on QOS. Let's face it, you never really know what EON is going to do regarding the box office. They were willing to continue with Dalton, even after the dismal performance of LTK. Yet when Brosnan delivered his biggest hit for them, they decided to end the partnership.
It will also be interesting to see if Warner sticks to this idea. Judging by the reaction on general movie sites, it's pissed off a lot of moviegoers. I can only imagine what the reaction on Harry Potter fansites must be like.
When Paramount moved Star Trek, they at least did it early on in the film's production. But the marketing campaign for Harry Potter had already begun to kick into overdrive.

Let's face it, you never really know what EON is going to do regarding the box office. QOS deserves to be squashed at the box office BIG TIME, especially here in the US. And anyone please give me Uwe Boll for Bond 23.

Harry Potter fans rail at studio over film delay Last update: August 15, 2008 - 7:22 PM
A day after Warner Bros. announced that it would push back the release of the sixth "Potter" film from November to July to take advantage of skimpy competition in the summer, Potter fans were lighting up the Internet with their rage Friday. Thousands signed online petitions, others organized boycotts and protests.
At Petitionspot.com, more than 15,900 fans had signed by early Friday evening a demand that "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" be returned to the long-promoted Nov. 21 release. Their posted comments made clear that Warner Bros. chief Alan Horn had, for a day at least, replaced Voldemort as the villain in their hearts.
"This is ridiculous and I assure you that the millions of Harry Potter fans who have been looking forward to this release will not stand for it," Patrick Allen, 25, of Brooklyn, wrote in an e-mail to the Los Angeles Times.
The announcement came as Entertainment Weekly magazine, which is part of the Time-Warner conglomerate that includes Warner Bros., led its fall movie issue, out Friday, with the film and featured actor Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, on the cover.
