I read an old thread on this forum asking if Casino Royale was a Bond film. The consensus seemed to be that it was not Bond 21, but a Bond film similar to Never Say Never Again. Is Quantum of Solace Bond 22 related to the Saltzman/Broccoli series? Or is it Casino Royale 2, the next part of the rebooted series? I think it is Casino Royale 2. Especially considering it starts a short while after Casino Royale (the 2006 movie). Presumably this means if Craig retires, they will have to hire a similar looking actor to play the same type of Bond. Lazneby was hired because he looked lke Connery. So, a Craig lookalike will have to be found.   |

It's Bond 2.1 or CR 2. It's Barbara's infatuation with Craig welded onto a desire to latch onto Bourne. James Bond has lost his identity.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)

Interestingly, some reviews are treating it as a sequel to Casino Royale, saying it suffers the fate of most sequels in that it is not as good as the original (which is Casino Royale in this case).
