I can respect those who enjoyed Casino Royale. But did you really enjoy Quantum of Solace, Chuck. You must have been disappointed.

Quantum of Solace did film a controversial horse race upsetting animal rights activists; and it must be remembered that he Fleming novels contained some controversial depictions of races, nations and lifestyles.

When QOS was released, many fans of the reboot on the forums gave it a glowing review. Now many have changed their opinion, especially after watching it on DVD.
The fashionable opinion of Quantum of Solace now is that it is a complete and utter mess.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I tried to watch this again a few days ago. What a very strange movie. It is a kick in the teeth for all those who enjoyed Casino Royale (I'm not one of those BTW).
It seems like the movie was thrown together at the last minute and includes some very ropey special effects. Considering the success of Casino Royale and the huge budget, Quantum of Solace should have been watchable.

I can respect those who enjoyed Casino Royale. But did you really enjoy Quantum of Solace, Chuck. You must have been disappointed. It's really inspiring to look at your posts. I don't know how you can stay calm, because Daniel Craig is so awesome and I just get nervous logging on here because it's like we're all brought together by Daniel Craig. The way you support Daniel Craig, I can tell he changed your life just as he did mine. You don't have to go into details about how he inspires you, I know that can be personal, but all I can say is that I think Barbara Broccoli cast him as James Bond because she knew the new metrosexual style would be inspirational to men. You know a classmate of mine got some moisturiser and a box of other cosmetics for his birthday, and his girlfriend gave it to him and he said this stuff is the same brand as the ones Daniel Craig used for QOS. That's the kind of inspiration I'm talking about. There's actually an article about Daniel's cosmetics for QOS. You can read it here, www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/3am/2008/04/17/james-bond-in-metrosexual-makeover-shock-115875-20385378/This article uncovered Daniel Craig's magic when it mentioned that he has an "X-factor". A production insider tells us: "Daniel Craig is the first metrosexual Bond. More than any other Bond in history, Daniel is attractive to both men and women.

Chuck, I'm glad you see that QOS doesn't have any controversy and doesn't offend anyone because it truly captures the spirit of political correctness. Also, that's the other thing that makes Daniel Craig a great James Bond. Bond no longer has to be this elegant hero. Instead, Barbara Broccoli brought him down to the level of every man. Last semester, my liberal arts professor brought up a similar discussion and he said Eon leveled the playing field, so we now have a Bond for every one and doesn't exclude other people. I think that's another reason there's no controversy for QOS. Barbara Broccoli really understood that rebooting the series meant taking on political correctness.
