Would Michael Apted make as good a job as he did first time round if he got Bond 23? It'd make sense to have a director whos already familiar with Bond.
Many people complain about the action, but actually the film ran for about 150mins & Michael was dissapointed that so much was cut out for pacing. Also, if MGW & Babs get their asses into gear they might get Bond 23 out for Nov 2010 before Michael hits the big 70!
BTW with the new DC Bonds it is unlikely that much will be cut out this time round.

When he was promoting Amazing Grace, he was asked about his thoughts on the new Bond film (CR) and how he looks back on the work he did for Bond. He said that he wasn't satisfied, that he realized that Bond was just not his thing hence why he turned down then titled Bond 20.
Can't blame him, TWINE was a mess.

Campbell won't return, he's stated he's not interested in doing another Bond film because he doesn't want to end up repeating himself. The only reason Campbell returned for CR was because it was a different take from what he did in GE.

Can't blame him, TWINE was a mess. TWINE was a decent entry. DAD was a mess. Besides he's out of the running anyway, he's got The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader coming out in 2010. |
