2008 was a bumper year for films with Indiania Jones and another Bond film.
What films are people looking for in 2009? I'm looking forward to Star Trek. Watchmen should be fun too.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

I'm quite interested in the Watchmen film. I think it comes out in a couple of months.

If the legal problems don't delay the film. I think Star Trek is the film that seems to be attracting a buzz.

Depends on the reviews. 700 million might be pushing it but I think it'll have a broader appeal than the Next Generation films.

www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/a140688/pine-star-trek-wont-please-everyone.htmlPine: 'Star Trek' won't please everyone Wednesday, January 7 2009, 09:35 GMT By Lara Martin
Chris Pine has warned Star Trek fans that J.J. Abrams's forthcoming prequel will not please everyone.
The 28-year-old actor plays Captain Kirk in the big-budget sci-fi production, which marks the eleventh Star Trek movie to be released.
"I’m not well-versed in the Trek canon but we’re venturing into territory that’s only been covered in these paperback novels they sell," he told the Wall Street Journal. "It’s definitely not going to please everyone."
However, Pine revealed that he hopes Abrams's reimagining of the franchise will provide optimism for cinema-goers, despite the film's edgier take on the original characters.
"Unlike other genre movies, Star Trek has always represented an incredible amount of optimism. In the late ‘60s, in a time of unrest, it represented this Utopian world," he said. "As opposed to The Dark Knight, which I enjoyed, but was so bleak and didn’t speak kindly of humanity.
“Kirk is so iconic because he’s the head of this fantastical Utopian team. They aren’t superheroes, they’re men and women trying to achieve something good."

Star Trek fans are notoriously fickle so I bet many will be complaining. The latter Star Trek series did include many superhero characters. How many times did Odo, Mr Data, Seven etc save the day?

I think we should give the ST prequel a chance.

That new Star Trek film looks like a right corker from the trailer.

Whether ST will get bad reviews or not, I would still prefer to watch it over QOS.

Hopefully Star Trek will not be as disappointing as QOS. There is a chance that Star Trek will let us down.

With ST out this May, there will be many other big movies coming out in theaters, such as Angels & Demons, Wolverine, Terminator 4, Night At The Museum 2......you name them.
