Hello, Well...it's official. I missed the latest James Bond movie (QOS) at my local theaters, not because I wanted it that way, but because I haven't been well. It's no longer showing due to the rest of the new batch of movies that have come out...and it's broken a warm-hearted decades-long streak of mine that I'm still in shock about. I still remember standing in line to see my first James Bond movie on the big screen waaay back in 1979, to see Sir Roger in "Moonraker". I've seen every James Bond movie on the big screen that has come out ever since, and missing Daniel's second turn as James Bond has brought that to a screeching halt. Judging from the reviews (except the James Bond International Fan Club who raved about it )...maybe I shouldn't feel so bad? Anyway...it's nice to be back! I've missed you all very much! P.S. In my "Quantum" trailer review...I promised to throw my giant, jumbo sized Coca-Cola at the screen if they didn't start the movie with my beloved gun barrel sequence! Good thing I didn't make it to the theater after all!

Well you certainly missed a rather strange entry! It's nice to see you back, and I look forward to reading your review.

Welcome back Alec. We all enjoyed QoS here, especially kadov. ;D Hilarious. And it's true. I so enjoyed QOS. In the spirit of my good friend Alvin, I have to admit that QOS and Danny Boy Craig has "liberated" me (although I'm still unsure of what I was liberated from). I still can't stop trembling from seeing that Tosca Opera scene. Oh, heavens, that was just pure Masterpiece Theater. I'm simply brought to tears whenever I realize that all the explosions were symbolic of the clash between order and chaos. It's like this movie was something that Nietzsche wrote. And let's not forget that it's also an auto-biography of Marc Forster, an inward journey like Heart Of Darkness. (Note: Alvin, where ever you are, I'm just teasing you. )

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

You must be joking. Fear not, FormerBondFan. I remain on the side of sanity (aka, the condemnation for QOS). In the utter uselessness of Danny Boy's QOS, it's best to treat the film with satire.

Fear not, FormerBondFan. I remain on the side of sanity It took a while but the critics swung back towards our feeling that this Bourne reboot isn't an awful lot of fun in the long run and has nowhere to go. Welcome back Alec.

You will have to take a peek at Quantum of Solace on DVD Alec. It should be out soon.
