Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

If the Bond franchise is rebooted for the 2nd time by someone other than Babs, would it still have a gunbarrel in the beginning and a James Bond theme?

No is the answer because Eon own the rights to these trademarks. I'm afraid Babs hit the jackpot by being born Cubby's daughter so we're stuck with her in charge of Bond.

The producers of a rebel film could be cheeky and insert a gunbarrel type opening. I don't think Eon have the rights to someone turning to the camera and firing a gun!
I don't think a rebel Bond will be made; Eon will manage to throw a spanner in the works.

I hope that someone that would take down Babs sooner or later, but I know she'll do anything to dodge the bullet.

I wonder if Barbara will take a break when the Craig era runs its course or he buggers off to do something else. She's still pretty young.

The Bond franchise needs to retire, not just DC.

The Bond franchise needs to retire, not just DC. I'm sure they will make some decent Bonds sometime in the future.

Eon nearly sold the franchise in the nineties. I doubt they'll ever do it now.

They have to think this through again for the next DC film and then again for the next Bond actor. What they really need is a new Jason Bourne film to crib from.
