They'll go younger than Rupert when they recast.

This choice doesn't excite me that much. I'd prefer him to Craig but he's like a poor man's James Purefoy.

Sam Worthington would be a better choice.

Worthington is in Terminator 4 and James Cameron's new film so he might be too established next time.

This would be a good selection if Craig left.

This would be a good selection if Craig left. I probably wouldn't pick Rupert but they could do a lot worse.

As others have pointed out he'll be well into his forties by the time the role is recast again and someone like Henry Cavill is waiting in the wings anyway. Thank you! ;D Too old now. And yes, sorry but I much prefer Henry for lots of reasons. Looks, attitude, style... and age too. There's also this. I find him a bit dull. BUT all this said, he would still be a FAR better choice than Daniel Craig in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't be enthused if he got the role (I don't think he will anyway and he's way too old to take over by the time Craig finishes), but I wouldn't be opposed to it either. As in, at least he looks the part a bit more than Craig does. But he'd need to dye his hair. I won't stand for yet another blond Bond. And anyway, Henry Cavill all the way! ;D

I don't think there is a candidate with a unique look like Daniel Craig.
If a Craig like figure is cast again - a stocky person with blonde hair - then someone like Penry-jones would be acceptable whearas I took one look at Daniel Craig and realised it was very hard for him to be a convincing Bond.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Worthington is in Terminator 4 and James Cameron's new film so he might be too established next time. I think I was proved right!

I thought was ok in the television version of The 39 Steps but I can't see him ever being James Bond. As others have pointed out, he's around Craig's age anyway.
