The Rocketeer was a decent action adventure film. Trouble was the leading hero was a complete unknown and very bland. The film never really took off but does the rounds on T.V.
Dalton played a Clark Gable type film star called Neville Sinclair, who was secretly working for the Nazi's. Dalton showed his dashing, handsome Bond esq side and also his mean/bad guy side. He was perfect for the role.

Bill Campbell was the lead. I think him being an unknown was a hindrance to the box-office but Dalton was very good in the film. More dashing than he was in LTK two years before. Shame they didn't make another Bond in 1991.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Wouldn't be nice if Pierce plays a Dr. Who villain?

He seems to be a cult character now which is nice. Hot Fuzz helped.

I saw Dalton last night. He still looks good dispite being in his 60's. Forgotten how tall he is, he cut a striking figure in his costume & gave a powerful performance as the 'Master of the Time Lords'.
He can't and obviously does'nt want to play dashing hero's. He seems to be at an age where he can play distinctive, strong, supporting older characters. Rather like Peter O'Toole. Richard Burton would have become that sort of actor had he lived longer.

Dalton looked great in Dr Who, almost as if he still had a Never Say Never Again style Bond left in him.

He seems to be a cult character now which is nice. Hot Fuzz helped. Hello, I have to agree totally. In fact, when I watch 'Hot Fuzz'... Dalton's supermarket owner character Simon 'Sissy' Skinner almost steals the film from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Timothy Dalton may go down as one of the most underrated actors in the history of the profession. I admit, I became a huge fan of his after his 'Fleming-like' portrayal of James Bond, but I've also branched out by watching almost everything else he appears in. I've bought as many of his movies, television mini-series as I can and added them proudly to my DVD collection. For me, Timothy Dalton IS THAT GOOD! To be personally honest....I'd pay the price of admission to watch Timothy read the ingredients off a soup can. Seriously!

And we got a brief look at the new Doctor too. Matt Smith has a great look. Tim Dalton is great and a character, and I would watch anything he is in.

Here's a still of the new Doctor. What a great picture of the new Doctor Who! Does anyone know when the episodes with David Tennant and Timothy Dalton ('The End Of Time') can be seen in Canada? Is there a planned DVD release? If someone can fill me in, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
