Well Dalton defied orders in LTK. So maybe a bit more menancing. Similar to how Sean Bean was. However there would need to be a build up and explanation as to why Bond had turned this way. The public would have demanded it. Was it money, love, politics or a combination ?
Brosnan could have been brought in half way through the film, with orders to bring Bond in or take him down.
We'd get to a nail biting scene where Brosnan & Dalton share a screen together in a De Niro/ Pacino esq scene. The public would'nt know who was going to come out on top, surely Bond, but wait there, he's not very nice, but Brosnan's only 006 etc.
The posters could have said something like 'Bond's turned against queen & country, but Brosnan's out to take him down'

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Wouldn't be nice to see Pierce and Tim doing a movie together someday?

That's not a bad idea. I found this nice pic of Roger, Pierce & Timothy together, probably at a service for Cubby.

This picture highlights how tall Tim was. At 6.2, a whopping 4/5 inches taller than DC.

I watched this again recently. Daniel Craig is supposed to be a younger version of Brosnan's Goldeneye Bond; that always makes me laugh.

Pierce looks more like a younger Bond in GE than DC in CR and QOS.

If Cubby is still around, Pierce's 3 Bonds after GE would have improved.
