Die Another Day (2002) is the twentieth spy film in the James Bond series, and the fourth and last to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond.

What I can say about DAD is that it's last James Bond movie ever made. It's the first and only Bond I saw in theaters. I know DAD may not be the best Bond ever, but it's James Bond. What do you expect? And yeah.....DC fans love to give this a low score of 5 or lower out of 10. For me, it's 10/10.

DAD was Pierce's Moonraker. Big, impressive, over the top, but never dull. I kept expecting Richard Kei to turn up. Critics generally gave it the thumbs up, saying it was good fun and the box office was massive.
Pierce was now totally comfortable in the role. Confident, charismatic, charming and tough. At nearly 50 he was in great shape, looking years younger. We all know he had another couple of Bond movies left in him.
An excellent PTS had an unexpected gritty ending which saw Bond with a beard & long hair. Loved it when he walked into the hotel with his pyjamas on. Other highlights were the car chase on ice and the plane climax. Lowlights were Halle Berry, Madonna and the OTT story. The film also loses it's way after a promising opening 45 minutes.
Overall I would be quite happy to watch this again next time it's on T.V.
8/10.

The first half of the film was probably one of the best Bonds ever. If they could have kept that up or maintained the same tone for the rest of the film it would be highly regarded. That said since Quantum of Solace was released I have seen it twice at the theatres but have no desire to buy it on dvd, and yet I have watched DAD when it was on tv and also on dvd. I would rather watch a film where Bond seems to be enjoying himself then one where he is moping around or comitting acts of violence like Alec from "A Clockwork Orange".
7/10

Great fun but much maligned in the Brosnan hate fest that emerged to back up the casting of Daniel Craig as Bond.
Brosnan turned in a great show; if only he could have worked with Cubby Broccoli.
Die Another Day was the last movie in the James Bond series before it was rebooted and ruined.
10/10

I remember it doing well at the box office and gaining good reviews. If Brosnan had made a solid Bond in 2004/5, Die Another Day would not be attacked so much. As Capt Flandry said DAD was attacked to prop up the casting of Craig. Craig supporters said a serious Bond was needed after the OTT DAD. I feel it should have been sillier and more overblown to make a better Brosnan Moonraker. A Spy Who Loved Me/You Only Live Twice battle ending should have been used. I like it, and it is the last ever Bond film. 8/10 p.s. Are other members forgetting to vote in the poll!!

I've just voted. 7/10 for me. It's daft but not as bad as some make out.

Craig supporters said a serious Bond was needed after the OTT DAD. Even Brosnan fans and Brosnan himself wanted a serious Bond after DAD. Brosnan said that he grew tired of Bond going OTT.

It's obviously not the best Bond ever made and the effects are a bit hit and miss but it's reasonably entertaining. I found the Q scenes quite amusing although Toby Stephens isn't the best villain ever to grace the series. I thought he looked too young to be honest.

I thought he looked too young to be honest. Wouldn't be better if Arnold Vosloo (from The Mummy and The Mummy Returns) played the main villain instead?

8/10/ It's very entertaining, and I share the view that Brosnan gave a great performance. Should have been followed by Brozza's version of For Your Eyes Only.
