Finally after months of comments and voting from our loyal members we reach the current conclusion of Bond films. Quantum of Solace (2008) is the 22nd James Bond film by EON Productions and is the direct sequel to the 2006 film Casino Royale. Directed by Marc Forster, it features Daniel Craig's second performance as James Bond. In the film, Bond battles Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a member of the Quantum organisation posing as an environmentalist who intends to stage a coup d'état in Bolivia to take control of the nation's water supply. Bond seeks revenge for the death of his lover, Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), and is assisted by Camille Montes (Olga Kurylenko), who is also seeking revenge.
As usual please give a vote and add comments as usual.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Well......what can I can say? I haven't seen the movie, and I never will. And thank God for those bad reviews.

Also, I just wanted to add that QOS is no match for TDK.

they might as well have cast matt damon in this movie. James Bond use to set the standards for spy movies now they're expensive imitations. $200,000,000 where did it go? Most movies that cost that much have ground breaking special effects (spider-man 2) they shoulda took all that money and bought forgiveness from Pierce. I tried watching this movie again the other day, I couldn't do it. It was so bad, and i was so angry i had to turn it off. A formula thats worked for over 40yrs, and they through it out the window in favor of the Bourne formula.... wtf??? If this movie didn't have 007 on it, if it was just a standard action flick, it would have bombed. I read an artical not too long ago that m. foster TURNED DOWN bond 23. If thats true then eon offered him to come back... you'd think eon would know better, especially after Wilson apologized for the shaky cam. I knew after watching casino royale for the 1st time Bond as i knew him would be gone for awhile, but i didn't expect QOS. I personally believe if eon keeps going down this road they are gonna lose more and more fans. 0/10

I’ve been deliberating over what to say with regards this film as I’m looking to add some positivity to the many evident negatives.
Well........to say I’m struggling is an understatement. This is by far the worst Bond film ever made. An expensive budget was totally wasted on a poorly directed monstrosity of a movie. The story is bland and Craig delivers a performance more akin to Universal Solider than Bond.
I’m going to give this film 1 out of 10 based purely on the fact Olga Kurylenko is hot.

The hype and OTT ratings predictably ensured CR did good box office and Daniel Craig had avoided becoming George Lazenby mark 2. Pre production soon went into place for a quickie follow up.
Rumours quickly began circulating. Unknown Marc Foster was hired to direct. The Bourne esq triolgy idea had been scrapped, however Bourne's second unit director had been hired. There was going to be more action than CR, however it was going to be the shortest Bond film ever. Everything was pointing to Daniel Craig suffering the 'Second Bond Movie' problem. No big deal there. The same thing happened to Moore & Dalton. However no one expected QOS to be quite as bad as it was.
Dull, lifeless, humourless, confusing were the things practically all critics said. It made a blatant attempt to copy Bourne but failed badly. Marc Foster was clearly out of his depth or simply not interested & let the stunt team take over the reigns for most of the film. However the stunt team are not experts in directing drama. So the film tended to have tedious scenes of talking followed by action. This meant there was practically no story. All the trademarks of previous Bonds were also missing, no gadgets, humour, excitment, interesting villans.
Onto Daniel Craig himself, now looking like an old middleweight boxer. After covering all angles and showing all emotions in CR, it was clearly decided not to bother this time. So we had a Steven Segal esq bone head, looking serious and mumbling a few lines now and again. Dispite rumours of Al Pacino being signed up, the rest of the cast were unknowns. Judi Dench, surely too old to still play the head of MI6 returned and Jeffrey Wright popped up now again looking very serious.
On the plus side the film was short. Terrible.

4/10. A forgettable action film with the 007 logo slapped on top of it. The film seemed rushed and unfinished with no story and Eon need to stop copying Bourne so much. Awful film.

What a mess. They were given a huge budget but managed to include the CGI parachute jump. The planned trilogy was abandoned after Eon realised - presumably after they had started filming - that they did not even have enough material for a Casino Royale sequel. The Quantum organisation? Did someone get paid to come up with that idea? I felt sorry for Daniel Craig having this foisted upon him, although he cheapened the film even further with a charmless perfomance.

Alvin was surprising quiet when came round to reviewing CR. But we all know he loves QOS. Can't wait for his review.
