Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

It certainly took the sheen off the reboot. I hope the reboot will CRASH AND BURN.

I think it already has FBF. There won't be a trilogy now.

Hopefully Star Trek XII and Batman Begins 3 will big enough to make the general US public forget about Bond 23.

Alvin was surprising quiet when came round to reviewing CR. But we all know he loves QOS. Can't wait for his review. Hi adam. I'm just sorry that I missed the polling. I really had trouble focusing my thoughts on QOS because it's an incredible phenomenon. Just talking it about it now makes me sort of tremble. I don't know how you guys can remain relaxed and calm. I guess the polling scale wouldn't have worked for me anyway. You know, the more I think about QOS, the more I realize you can't really put it on a scale like that. This movie is so artistic, it really belongs on a pedestal. Marc Forster is so unbelievable, he really made an action film like those weird, arty European films. I'm thinking of that scene in the opera where the sound goes off, and all you sense is a kind of stillness while the action goes on and on. I like playing that scene in repeat mode on my bluray player while I study. It's so unbelievable.

I missed the polling too. I would have given Quantum 6.5. It suffered in comparison to Casino Royale which had a good story and Martin Campbell. Quantum's major weakness was the editing.

QoS was easily the worst second film for any of the Bond actors.

QoS was easily the worst second film for any of the Bond actors. Both Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz from AtTheMovies must be braindead when they said "see" QOS.

Awful film. There's not much more to say. Only the nuttiest fanboy is still trying to prop this disaster up.

I do wish QOS was destroyed COMPLETELY at the box office (especially here in the US) if HP 6 wasn't delayed.

If I recall, QOS had a really strong opening and then dropped away when word of mouth and the often dire reviews came in. It would have been interesting to see how it affected the box-office of a new Bond film this year but it's obviously delayed now for the foreseeable future.

No Bond film will ever completely bomb with the brand name and the money behind them.

TMWTGG and LTK (in the US) nearly crash and burn the franchise.

That's true. Licence To Kill was released at the height of a blockbuster summer and had a dreadful marketing campaign. One thing EON are doing right is promoting the current films to the hilt.
