Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

Alec, what do you think of Jaw 5 with Richard Dreyfus returning as Hooper?

Alec, what do you think of Jaw 5 with Richard Dreyfus returning as Hooper? Hello, FormerBondFan...I would've liked nothing better that to have Richard Dreyfuss return in a 'Jaws' sequel. it would lend the sequel A LOT of credibility! Dreyfuss passed on 'Jaws 2' back in 1978, and the only reason the late Roy Scheider was back as Chief Brody was because he was under contractual obligation to Universal. In 'Jaws 2' there's a scene where Ellen Brody hangs up the phone and informs Chief Brody that Matt Hooper is on an expedition and will be out of radio range for months. However, remember the 'Jaws' rip-off 'Piranha' They're doing a remake called 'Piranha 3-D' and guess who's in the film looking VERY much like Matt Hooper??? I guess Richard Dreyfuss has decided to 'jump ship'...so to speak! Take Care!

Last year, here's what our buddy Greg said about the Jaws franchise: I think the Jaws franchise sank and lost its bite a long time ago. That 3-D one was awful and Jaws 2 wasn't anything special.

With Nielsen gone, it's sad now that Naked Gun 4 died with him.

Anyone seen Jaws: The Revenge with Michael Caine? That was really bad.

I don't really see the point of another Jaws film. The first one is all you need. Jaws 2 was alright but the others were terrible.

Jaws: The Revenge is regarded to be one of the worst films ever made. It has 0% on RT.

I'm surprised that no-one has "reimagined" Jaws.
