I think some mildly unrealistic but feasible futuristic gadgets will be in Bond 23. The computer wall in the MI6 HQ went down this path; but I think Bond will have some gadgets to use on a mission.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

What about gadgets used by villains?

What about gadgets used by villains? A decent villain would be a start before they worried about gadgets.

If you want a villain or henchman with a gadget, you might as well have Kenny G use his sax to shoot poison darts. ;D

I don't think gadgets are needed in Daniel Craig's Bond movies. His emphasis is on realism and I don't think he and Barbara Broccoli want to let the fans down. He also oozes with charisma and doesn't need gadgets to play Bond. But if they really go for gadgets in the next one, they should have a mini-submarine that can turn into a speedboat. I saw something similar in one of those Spy Kids movies. Obviously, they would have to make it look more realistic to keep it in the style of a Daniel Craig bond movie.

If gadgets aren't needed in DC Bonds, then I guess Moneypenny and Q aren't needed as well.

They should get rid of the James Bond character too. He's just holding them back.

I cannot see DC's Bonds having traditional elements. If I want these things to return, save it when the traditional James Bond returns.

It's ironic that the critics & public slammed QoS for not being a traditional James Bond film because Eon now have to try and make something that resembles one with Daniel Craig's dour Terminator Bond. Unless they continue to make Bond films for people who don't actually like the franchise anyway.

Alvin, my boy, someone's really got to take away the Craig Kool-Aid away from you. ;D I don't think gadgets are needed in Daniel Craig's Bond movies. His emphasis is on realism and I don't think he and Barbara Broccoli want to let the fans down. Well, considering how QOS has been slammed by critics and many movie-goers, including fans, for lacking traditional Bondian elements like gadgets, I'd say your beloved Danny Boy and Her Majesty Barbara Broccoli have already let a lot of people down. Your comment is actually naive--you're boasting about realism in the Craig films via the lack of gadgets, but you're obviously not aware that gadgets do exist in the real world of espionage. I'd say Danny Boy needs a personality to play Bond. And what charisma was he oozing, Alvin? Your comment takes us to the very center of one of the major complaints from many people--Craig, in QOS, has zero charisma. Or maybe this is what happened: Marc Forster, editing this movie against a tight schedule, flushed large reels of exposition, including scenes with Craig's alleged charisma, down the toilet because he realized that the whole enterprise was a dog. So now Eon needs to turn to the Spy Kids franchise for inspiration? How about that Hannah Montana concert movie? Or the latest Disney movie, Camp Rock or something, starring the Jonas Brothers?

I hope they do have a "mini-submarine that can turn into a speedboat" in the next one alvin. I'd love to see Daniel Craig's face when he learnt about it.

I'd like to see Craig have a Swiss army knife that can turn into a pair of nuclear roller skates in the next one.
