What are the chances of Daniel Craig walking away from Bond before the production of the proposed 2011 Bond starts?

Pretty slim I'd say.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

The sooner DC leaves, the better.

If he had some really great scripts he would have to ditch Bond.

Think there is more chance of Judi Dench leaving before the next one. She's been in the last 6 and has hinted she may bow out. She's in her 70's and it may start looking ridiculous having someone that age as head of MI5.
I see there thinking about bringing back 'M' & 'Moneypenny'. That shows a lack of imagination. They trumpet a reboot and when QOS is slated they go back to the past. John Cleese must be knocking on. Samantha Bond is no doubt doing other projects. So they may have to find new actors.
DC will carry on. He won't want to be put into the Dalton/Lazenby bracket. He will be hopeing there will be a three or four year gap before the next one so he can try to establish himself in other roles.

She looks good for her age but, yeah, someone in their mid seventies would have been pensioned off by MI6 a long time ago.

Craig is surely the last Bond Dame Judi will be M to. And a male M shall return with a traditional 6'2'' dark-haired James Bond.

I don't think Daniel Craig will walk away from Bond just yet. He and Barbara Broccoli will not let audiences down. Plus we have to remember he is the best Bond since Sean Connery, so if he suddenly leaves the role that would be too much of media hysteria, and I think Daniel is a thoughtful person and will not let distraction like that happen. We also have to keep in mind he is young so he can take on the role for as long as Roger Moore did.
I'll admit that I know one day he will have to step down. I feel sad when I think of that, it's a real downer. THen my feeling if that happens is that the series will come to an end. Daniel Craig is our only hope for the series, he turned it around for CR and it's just all unbelievable. The only way I can see the series going on with another actor is if Barbara Broccoli makes Daniel a producer/partner of Eon.
