How about a cracking Pierce film in 2006 and then a young actor in 2008? Then again a young actor playing Bond for the first time in 2008 may have had his Bond stint ruined by the hiatus. That would have made sense. Instead we were invited into the crazy world of Barbara Broccoli.

Favourite James Bond Films: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible and any upcoming action films starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good because he'll need it to expand his reputation as an actor, especially in the action realm)
Favourite Films: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Harry Potter, Middle-Earth, The Matrix, Mission: Impossible

If not a fifth Bond for Pierce, why not regular Brosnan action flicks?

I'm sure he could make one if he wanted to. How old was Clint in the last Dirty Harry film? Older than Pierce probably.

I'm sure he could make one if he wanted to. Chris Nolan and especially Tarantino are ones who know how make action movies not only great but also character-driven. Clint was 57-58. If you think Pierce is too old to do action films, think again. Sean did action roles up to his early 70s. Tommy Lee Jones is still doing action roles, and MIB 3 comes out next year. Plus, Ian McKellen will be kicking @$$ once again with The Hobbit under his belt.

[
and Why till now Chris Nolan doesn't make a film with Brosnan? have any thought?
Pierce acting strength actually only his cool personality and novelty image (like he did when his failure Bond era), and comedy. He is not an action kind of actor like Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, or Jason Statham. His acting skill is below average. Pierce need movies like The Ghost writer or romantic comedy movies.

Pierce need movies like The Ghost writer or romantic comedy movies. Ghost Writer type films are fine, but rom-coms aren't great anymore.

Picking up on the theme above, about whether Brosnan is too old for action movies...he can certainly do it, if he wanted to. But I don't think he's craving to do one. I remember an article on him way back in 1995 around the time GE was released. It was in one of those movie magazines, maybe Cinescape. He mentioned that he was hoping that GE would be a big hit. From that success, he would quietly produce and appear in small dramas. So far, that's basically what he's been doing. Just small quiet movies where he's able to work with up-and-coming filmmakers.

Yes, Pierce would rather make dramas now I'd imagine. If you gave him a choice between some low budget film about Irish divorce laws or something set in the 1950s and jumping over cars and shooting people in Prague he'd go for the first one each time.

We haven't seen Pierce in sci-fi/fantasy or even war films. Another Western would be great. And what about something like The Hunt for the Red October? Pierce could something like this.

Speaking of fantasy, he did Percy Jackson, but unfortunately, the reviews were rather mixed.
